THink hes at that stage where he would prefer to watch then play football

Yeah, he must be. Doesn't really make a lot of sense, especially if he's on loan. Not like he'd be there if/when Spurs make Europe next year anyway.

Really doesn't make sense, especially if the offers were "identical", as 'Arry is saying...

In any case, he's probably at the bottom of Spurs' pecking order (or perhaps in front of Pavlyuchenko, but who isn't ahead of him?)

stolen? made a better offer might be closer to the mark or maybe we are just a better club than West Ham.
How can you make a better offer from a loan deal? You just take on the contract of the team that owns him. Regardless he's getting the same amount. He turned his back on his teammate and friend after he gave his word he was going to West Ham.

Spurs don't need another striker or attacking mid, but they're well known for wasting their money, so i shouldn't have expected any less.

Wasting money on a loan signing?

My guess is you'd probably be paying his wages.

Fitz Hall (QPR) -> Newcastle - loan until the end of the season.

Patrick Van Aanholt (Chelsea) -> Newcastle - initial one month loan deal.

No offense but there is so much fail in this. Did you ever think youd see the day when your loaning players from QPR....

More a money making thing I'd imagine. Let's be honest, they've spent excessively of recent times, and probably need to balance the books.

Take on Eidur for the role of 4th striker - and Pavlyuchenko sounds like he's off to Birmingham. I'd imagine they'll get 8-9m for him.

Kaboul back to Spurs for only 5 mill.

I swear Redknapp likes his FM, clearly using the most profitable FM strategy. Just goes to the jobs tab, looks under job security, sees Portsmouth, Job status: Precarious, Finances: Bankrupt, checks out the players stats, makes an offer well below market value, gets the message that the board has decided to accept the offer on behalf of the club, click confirm. Done and done.
