Eddie wanted to call the premiership cup the barrassi mchale cup when reading that in the melbourne sun about 6 weeks ago i protested on nicks board as much as barrassi is a legend of the game i didnt like his name associated with mchales.
As barrassi was and is a collingwood hater i did not want his name associated with the great mchale name.

Fair call with Barrasi being a Collingwood hater but it would of been a good idea to call the trophy after the two.
Barassi learnt all his football under the great Norm Smith. He generally told his players that he hated the bastards (in relation to Collingwood) but he respected them more than anyone.
I am sure Barassi would of had this feeling too.
Barassi and Smith only really hated Phonse Kyne (not McHale because he was before their time) because he ruined some important days in the 50's Melbourne era.
This rivarly is the fiercest feud involved with finals in the history of the game (statistics prove it as Melbourne and Collingwood have met in finals more than any combination)
McHale's name would not be tainted if it was associated with Barassi.
Did you talk to the McHale's much Joffa?
Yes i did rohan they are wonderful people we talked about jock and they mentioned the memorabillia they have at home, we talked about his trademark hat and sadly no body knows where it is..they were really excited about the honor bestowed upon jock and i couldnt keep up with the amount of times they said thank you.

Personally I wouldn't think that a conviction for shoplifting has any bearing on somebody's truthfullness or lack of it.
He is someone who we all believe is jealous about my friendship with eddie mcguire and my standing with the collingwood football club
Congratulations on your invention of the 'Jock McHale Medal'.
Also for being mentioned in the Herald Sun for it, well done mate.
Keep up the good work, doing bigfooty proud.

As a matter of interest, how old are you and when will you grow up ?? And whilst I'm at it, do you know what a hairdresser is ???
The Phil Carman "Nod of Approval" awarded for outstanding efforts of idiocracy by Pies players past and present. Retrospective awards to be given to Nick Davis, Chris Tarrant and Alan DidakWell, knock me down with a feather, a medal named after a club legend, how about that ?? Incredible foresight & creativity been used in this.
I eagerly await the other installments that are no doubt in the pipeline :
The Peter McKenna Button
The Des Tuddenham Brick
The Ted Potter Handball
The Twiggy Dunne Grab
The Phil Mannassa Toilet Paper
The Jerka Jenkin Backbrace
The Denis Banks Bus Licence

Nice picture of him sitting in the crowd. Where was the "game over" jacket? Perhaps he should wear a silver one with "season over" instead.

If Melbourne weren't playing so bad, i'd suggest a jacket with a wooden spoon logo on it![]()

You waited several years for this?![]()
