He's so Greek his Greeks words don't even google translate so I can't figure out what he's saying... lol
So it’s all Greek to you?

Such good food.

Lamb, chicken, fish.

Delicious salad.

Grilled cheese, saganaki

Oh dear I’m in love with Greek food.

Fantastic achievement for Mick, provided some great years for the CFC, and for that I'll be forever grateful

Cost us the 2011 Premiership when he focused on himself rather than the club and players leading up to finals.

When it came to MM it was always about MM.

I listened to Bucks on SEN, and l sort of cringed at the way Bucks was explaining his relationship with Mick. l thought the platform (morning radio) straight after the HOF night, had Bucks going to a place that he really didn't need to, and the blacklash was going to be obvious. I was surprised Bucks "vented" on radio.
Well done and congrats to MM, he will always be a Collingwood premiership coach, and well loved and respected by all at the Pies.
Totally agree, didn't need to go their and really should just have applauded Mick for his achievement and should of replied to Gerard's questioning of their relationship "simply not going to go their Gerard" let's move on.

Mick to me and i suspect many others comes across as a pretty ordinary individual who buy whatever means it took was able to get the best out of blokes and teams. I beleive he has lied about Bux not wanting him in the box etc. Bux spoke well and i believe honestly and tried to say he understands why Mick is the way he is. However, i am also sure he was highly offended by what Mick said. Perhaps the timing makes for bad optics but i feel most in the industry were pretty sick and tired of Malthouse by the time he left the game.

The timing was perfect for Bucks.......a truly cathartic experience for him today.

F U Mick.

Well done to Mick. No doubt a legend of the game.

At Collingwood he became a divisive figure in the end though. This is largely due to Micks personality and the way he operated. He took no prisoners and he shouldn’t be surprised he is not universally loved nor should he harbour grudges towards those that had to oppose him and go in another direction, but that wouldn’t be Mick.

I am not a massive Eddie fan but this makes me reflect on his contribution in this area and it is immense. Getting Mick to the club was a master stroke. The right person at the right time who was going to fight and scrap and give us respect again. There was only one flag but it was outrageously successful in getting us back on the map.

Removing Malthouse was also the overwhelmingly right thing to do. It took massive courage to stay that course (although the handover was perhaps too ambitious) amazing foresight of the direction the club needed to go in weaker and greedier men would have relented. Malthouse was about Malthouse and his boys and the winning in the now he wasn’t about the wider club that is Collingwood - it wasn’t sustainable and that success would die with him as it was built around him. This was unhealthy and would have seen us fall off a cliff. For this decision and the personal grief it caused him i will always tip my hat to Eddie.

Buckley is an overwhelmingly good person who has transformed the culture of the club this will ensure the club remains great long after he is gone. Organisational culture change is extremely difficult but extremely important. More important than flags more important than any individual. When done right it ensures survival and success will be a natural dividend perpetually.

We could easily have been just like Carlton in the last 20 years no culture no vision no hope. We were in a worse position than Carlton at the same time when Eddie took over. Only McGuire can we thank that we have not had a Carlton era he was our fork in the road. He ensured that the first time with Mick and cemented our future with Bucks.

Coaches are mere figure heads at the end of the day but they lead the culture and there is not a soul on this earth that I would entrust that culture to more than Buckley.

Well deserved Mick!

Buckley comments were unnecessary and poorly timed, but with that said - Mick has absolutely had his 'Me' moments in the media too.

For those bickering Mick vs Bucks - both absolute champions of the club and guess what - we as fans can and should celebrate both!

I'll try to write this in a way which will not get me banned. I'm a Carlton man and his appointment at Carlton was a disaster, but not Mick's fault. (he may have conned the board just a bit though...) I don't like Malthouse, but that is irrelevant. He did things his way.

MM was an average VFL player, but was good/determined enough to play 150+ games. Premiership player, so good enough.

3 premierships as a coach and he holds the record for the most games coached.

That last fact alone is enough for him to be in the hall of fame.

Begrudging respect. Well done Mick

It is Micks fault mate because he took the job out of spite and to break a legends record.

The only saving grace for me is he set your Club back another 5 years at least.

It’s ok we don’t ban people here because we have a resident troll called Traaaaaaaaavvvvvvvvvvvvvviiiiiiiiis who has carte blanche here.

Well done Mick. Not many coaches in the caper could do what you did with getting the best out of your players. I loved how you turned scrapheap and recycled players into real match winners and stars.
Loved your press conferences too.

Did he sign a contract and didn’t honour it?

F K that selfish prick.
Had a fantastic legacy to 2010.

Such a shame he tarnished it beyond that point. A class below people like Matthews and Roos as a coach - these people we’re capable of recognising when their time was up and didn’t let ego get in the way.

Tremendous shame.

No, do tell sounds luk
