I think you got a real steal by getting Chambers at #57.
Pros: Very quick, extremely good skills, good mark for his size and a natural goal kicker.
Cons: Offensively minded, pretty much the epitome of an ''outside" player and used to struggle on the road (something which is rather less of an issue when you don't play 10 games a year interstate..)
He's not a total midfielder but he is a very classy player, and imo was the better of the two midfielders (him and Morrison) who we traded away. There just simply wasn't room in our midfield for him behind Judd, Cousins, Kerr, Fletcher, Embley and Braun.
When you look at his stat lines, keep in mind that most games with us he played around 20-25 minutes tops in short bursts off the bench. On some of the occasions when he was asked to play a larger role he fired in a big way, and has had a number of 25-30 disposal games in that situation.
If he gets more of an opportunity at Carlton, I think he may very well increase his production to those kind of levels on a weekly basis- as a WC fan I think you got him on the cheap but I'd be very happy to see him develop into a top-liner, because he certainly does not lack for talent.
