White is 3cm smaller than Jamo, and a very big ask for a 1st gamer to play on such a target as Tippett. Not sure i'd throw the young bloke to wolves that early IMO.

Agree with you here HBF. Adelaide's efficient ball movement and our lack of midfield pressure allowed easy entries inside 50 so we can't just blame Jamo for that. He will get the first crack especially if Tippett remains at FF like he should be.

On another note I was wrapped to see us give this bloke a chance, I'm almost more excited about our rookie selections than our ND selections :p. Although that Kane Lucas goes alright!

I like the way we are recruiting in the RD looking for quick defenders who can spoil first, get the footy second. Although I am lead to believe that White can accumulate from half back. Good closing speed and spoiling ability was what attracted us to Jamo, I can see the similarities between those two and can't help but be excited by this kid/man.

Go Simon, prove me right! :thumbsu:

He's the goods lads :thumbsu: you won't be disappointed.

Saw him play last week, and some highlights when he was still at Subiaco. Looks a very accomplished player, very poised down back. Hope me makes a good fist of tomorrow's game vs Adelaide.

Thanks to all who pointed out how to play above your height, and cited examples...but you all forgot to mention David Bain, the shortest player in history and therefore by definition MUST have played above his height????

It was only a little joke, and the mobility query referred to having to play on stilts to play above his height, which would reduce mobility i would assume!

Anyway, I hope he is a champion!!!!!!!! Go Simon!!;);)

Yep. I thought he did very well for his first game. Would have been a pretty hostile crowd over there in scumsville, so all in all a good first up effort from the lad.

Nervous start as the Crows went through his direct opponent, Burton, in the first quarter.

Didn't drop his head and kept at it, and as the game wore on he looked more comfortable out there.

Thought he was really solid on debut and performed really well.

Looks to be a real player. Well done Simon!

Slotted in rather nicely aye :)

And dare I say it, as well as those who have seen him a bit were expecting. Well done Whitey :thumbsu:
