Doubt Thornton will come back in for White.

Watched first half of Bullants game today and Thornton played in the forward line and did nothing.

I cant see him getting dropped after this so that t-bird can come back in... t-bird really needs to dominate at the VFL level to get his game back and force his way into selection contention...

It isnt going to help his cause to be sat around in the Ants sulking...

Very good game with ball in hand, defensively i was worried. Must have got beat by burton 5 times, mostly due to losing him on the lead. His closing speed was good, but hopefully he will improve how he reads the play in coming weeks.

The new Andy Mckay, I'm calling it already.

Was awesome watching him peel off his man to help out the other defenders and dish out a spoil. He was also very composed with ball in hand and disposal was good, definitely earnt himself a game against the Cats!

He did well although lucky at time with Burton not putting the scores up when he got outmarked.

What a mature response once again General....one i would expect though coming from you.

Why do you post crap like that ? Does it make you feel good ?

You have been howled down by posters in many threads for trolling, putting people down who don't agree with your opinions etc.....and yet you continue to do it.

I guess we all just have to laugh at your posts and pity you :thumbsu:

Definitely a good player we have here. When he gets used to the speed of AFL I'm guessing his ability to stick closer to his man will improve. :thumbsu:

I thought O'hAilpin looked out of sorts (no excitment, no presenting a good lead) and I wouldn't mind betting that TBird will come back in via the forward line at the Irishman's expense.

I bet that was the plan all along

Good effort from the boys, i for one like others have been judgemental of Ratten. But credit must go to him, took a risk with selection had a good game plan and it worked. I thought the big difference was MENTAL APPLICATION by our boys!!!

Watched the replay a few times now.

That was an awesome debut. He's a 190-191cm type who can play small or tall. He struggled against Burton in the air on a couple of occasions in the first, but then again most players do. Whites agility, strength and leg speed were impressive. His disposal was great - reliable, accurate kick. Seemed to have an excellent understanding of the gameplan and his role. Worked very well with Walker and Jamo. No Thornton-dummy spits when he got beaten. Just stayed focused and got on with the job. The much talked about lunging spoil in the last was brilliant. That effort requires instinct, talent and courage. Awesome effort.

Have to admit I was a bit shocked when Thornton and Waite were dropped, but it was a bold decision that paid off. Our clangers out of defense were killing us and we looked so much better once that problem area was improved on.

:)

sitting on the boundary behind the goals I got to see a fair bit of him close up. Looked good. Quite strong in the one on ones.

Was worried early when he was on Burton. That's a tough match up for a first gamer but all in all, was a pretty solid debut

After a nervous start ..he really came into his own, Burtons kicking for goal took a lot of heat off him..but he worked his way into the game and looked quite composed ..outstanding debut . :thumbsu:
