HBF from what you are saying I gather this kid has good skills etc? And is a very good player?

Watched him play live last week, and he is very composed down back, and uses the ball very well. When he was lined up on Hurley, he did a pretty good job at making the contest, and getting a good spoil in. As I have said previously, I think WH & SR have found a pretty good footballer here.

Blue and White? . . . s’alright for first-gamer Simon
A Rising Star Award winner for Subiaco in what was his maiden season at senior level in the WAFL last year, White had on more than one occasion in Perth been told he was either too small or too skinny to cut the mustard at AFL level - which only served as a driving force in his steady elevation to senior football at the elite level.

“I had an inkling I was close. With Paul Bower out I thought that there might have been a spot for a defender, I’d played reasonable footy in the VFL and I’d been told by the coaches that if I’d kept going the way I was going I wouldn’t be too far away.”

“I played about a year and a half of reserve grade footy before I got my chance at Subiaco, and I suffered a few injuries in my first senior year there, so I had to deal with that,” White said. “Playing AFL was always a dream for me, but at that stage AFL seemed a bit out of reach, and there was a time where I thought it had actually passed me by."

Hopefully Kouta presents him with the number 43 guernsey. :thumbsu:

Well done Simon :thumbsu:

Was looking forward to watching him on Saturday for the Bullants but now I'm looking forward to watching him on Saturday even more.

Hopefully he can put in a really solid performance against the Crows and give himself every opportunity of not only featuring in the senior side throughout the season, but also securing promotion and forging a pretty good career for himself in Navy Blue.

Liked him the first time I saw him

is what I'm sure I'd say if I'd laid eyes on this kid before.

Good luck Stev........er.....Simon.:thumbsu::confused:

Congrats and good luck young fellow.:thumbsu:

HBF: He obviously plays above his height. Tis only 190cms

Good luck to him hopefully he does well.Did he do well in the VFL last week and the last month at pre season training? I just haven't really followed the Bullants practice games.

Broke even with Michael Hurley last week. Not bad for a 190cm pick 56 off the rookie list ;)
