I know this is a bit late but congrats to the massive magpies turnout for the eagles game. To get over 60,000 against an interstate team is a superb effort. I believe it may even have broken some records.

I am a bit surprised not more has been made of this but maybe i have missed it being in syd.

Interesting to see how people react to the different time slots.

Last weeks crowd was a resounding "yes vote" for Saturday Twilight, while this week we revert back to as close to the old 2pm start as exists now (1.45pm).

Yep, I agree though, if we crack 40K I'll be happy, many of our fans know what is coming up over the next 3 weeks after this game so the crowd may be down a bit, plus let's face it, there's not going to be 10k Eagles fans and 4-5K neutrals there this week.

Was surprised myself to see over 60K last week. Like I said last week, Saturday twilight is f**king awesome.

Yeah same with me too. An old couple of Wet Toast supporters were discussing how the big the MCG was so I presumed they flew over for the game.

Yes there were a lot of hopeful weagle tourists...hoping to knock us off. Sorry! They left spewing at the outcome, rightly proud of their boys' efforts but deeply impressed by the 'G. (at least thats the impression I got walking out!)

62,987 was a was a great turnout! I think the break down would be like 55,000 Collingwood Fans, 7,000 weast coast fans and 1,000 neutrals.

Also 44,831 turned out to see the Pies v dockers so another great turnout by the magpie army.

Should get 70,000 for the Pies V Blues match this friday night with 50,000 being collingwood fans I would think!
