Just a quick note to say congratulations to the Pies on a VERY impressive performance today - we were lucky to get away with it in the end.
Your midfield carved us up for a fair percentage of the match (we miss Joey!), and O'Bree and Tarrant had blinders.

You should be proud of the way your boys fought it out (as proud as we are at Essendon), and be aware that you've sent a strong message to the rest of the competition today. Well done.

Go BOMBERS!!!!

Thanks SydneyBomber,
yeah we were very happy with our performance. There were some good signs that came from the match, but im a bit disapointed that Collingwood didn't win the match. But Essendon is a great team and even when the pies were up by two or three goals early in the 3rd quarter i could sense a Essendon comeback, there a team that can step up the gear in a matter of minutes, and it happened.
Great game, great effort both teams.

Yep, a great game, well fought out to the very end by both sides, im a little dissapointed that we lost but not the slightest bit dissapointed in our efforts, but I guess the better (but not by much today) team won on the day. Well done Pies!!!! Very, very proud of all of yaz!!
And congratulations to Chrissy Tarrant on a sick ass game and B.O.G!!

Just out of curiousity...
I haven't seen much of the Pies in recent times.
Are they missing any regular seniors players (due to injury) at the moment, or are they at full strength?

(And don't tell me you're missing Daicos either - LOL!)

Of course - sorry I forgot!

To anyone at the game (another "Just out of curiousity" question!), were the supporters pretty evenly matched in numbers?
There looked like a LOT of red in the crowd on the tv (maybe it just sticks out amongst the black more than the white?).

Never thought i'd say this but we might have missed Steven McKee today in the ruck. When Alessio turned the game in the secong half McKee might have been a better option than Anthony.
