When there are only 17 games in the season, yes it makes a difference.

Theyre also fundamentally different players. Nic Nat is super high impact and has more significant game turning qualities. This isn’t reflected on the stat sheet and cannot be.

If you just compared Bont and Macrae on stats you’d be picking Macrae every time.

Any reasonable observer would have Nic Nat in the team over Gawn. They’ve picked Gawn because they always pick two rucks and they don’t really need to.
