After the torrid run he had he’s probably still asleep. I’ve been told atrial fibrillation by a stable insider. Expect him to come out swinging in the Melb Cup. He’s the 2nd best horse in the Country.

‘Ventura Storm didn’t take his Turnbull form into the Caulfield Cup but he’s come out of it very sore this morning,” Hayes explained.
“He’s got a foot abscess, so we’ll be doing some patch up on him over the next few days and hopefully that will settle down and we can pour the work into him, and hopefully we can get him back on track.
“It’s definitely up in the air until he starts trotting out sound, obviously a foot is not ideal but luckily we have two and a half weeks and they normally take two or three days to settle down.

He’s through the worst part, the first 72 hours was always going to be the worst. He seems to have come through that. The question remains, can he ever race again?
