Congratulations Cuz on your 100th game. Let's hope there's another 100+ to come.

Actually, 100 games in 5 seasons including a broken leg in 97 and ankle problems this year isn't that bad really.....

There's a lot of talk over here about whether Cousins will be our next captain ahead of Jakovich, but no-one actually wants to say who'd they prefer. So even though it's probably of no interest to you, what are your opinions on our captaincy?

But, give it a few years we could have Coach Whoosha with his assistant Bluey! God I hope so....

With the captaincy thing, I agree Jako's the natural choice, given that he's always wanted it, and worked so hard on his presentation, language and speech (do you all remember his victory song in '92?). But he does still get a bit selfish and/or egotistical. Plus the simplicity of Jak could be a problem, like last year he sold his 4WD and boat because he didn't think he was playing well enough. I just think a captain who doesn't punish himself like a little kid would be better.

Now Cus is already very mature, and has all the 'right' answers down pat. Going with youth might be risky, but it worked with Whoosha. My only concern is that he doesn't have as much support from his teamates. Also he's not a player who shows his passion on the ground. Jako could probably fire up the boys a bit better.

Oh well, gives us Eagles something to talk about for the next 6 months

Well done Benny! I have no doubt that you will become the eagles captain one day but for now I'd like to see Jacko get the nod for 2 years or so. Looking forward to another 100 marvellous games

Well done Cuz your a champion already. On the captaincy thing though Jako should get it he shows his emotion and get the team fired up, leads by example and very good with the media. Cousins' time will come but not for a couple of years yet. Jakos deputys should be White Roo and Cousins so that Ben can get some exposure to the role so hes ready to take over when Jako retires.

im an eagle fan as well and i hpope bluey as well as ben play a great game. I am real sad bout blueys retirement but i know its gotta happen or he might become a cripple...
