Mundy... back in 2004, I was talking footy with one of my coaches and he reckoned this young Mundy kid was one to keep an eye on - he'd coached him and said he was an absolute gun. Evidently that coach was a better judge of players than I thought! I'd hate to see Mundy in other colours.

It's an awesome little production. Was stopped for a while when we weren't doing so well and I'm happy to see it back. I never miss an episode.

In the Fyfe article, the West indicated that the Mundy deal was being worked on last week.

Sports radio has stated the Fremantle have offered Mundy a 3 year deal but he want a 4 year deal .
I want Fremantle to do the right thing and give him the extra year . So come on Freo give him the 4th year asap so we can all breath a little easier .

A 4 year deal for someone who is 29? 2 years with 2 continuing performance based renewal clauses maybe. If he meets all of his performance metrics, then he gets his 3rd year, if his metrics are still up then he gets a fourth. Some midfielders definitely go on at a sustained level into their mid 30's, but not many. For every Boomer and Robert Harvey, there are about 10 who fall off precipitously in their early 30's. Give him the assurance that he will get picked up if he is still performing, but we surely have to think of the team first. We don't want to be like Carlton, who are carrying Judd who is a shadow of the man they need him to be, because they haven't planned for his succession.

Gun midfielder David Mundy has committed to the club until the end of season 2017 after agreeing to a three-year contract extension with Fremantle.

The 28-year-old, who was out of contract at the end of this season said it wasn’t just a football decision it was also a life decision.
