I also don't have a bad word to say about him, i actually made sure i went down and shook his hand when i had the opportunity once upon a time at a Cats v Hawks game. We had a nice chat, he seemed genuinely passionate about the team and overall just a nice person. He did show me his array of offensive opposition team badges like the piss and poo Hawthorn badge etc on the inside of his coat and explained the outside is for Geelong badges the inside was for the offensive ones which i guess could be perceived as slightly mean, but all in good fun and i got a good chuckle out of itIs Catman Jesus in disguise?
Love this blokes work, spoken to him briefly at the carlton game this year. A good man.
.There goes Dangerfield.![]()
I met Catman down in Castlemaine one time and agree he is very nice. Has a big Geelong logo which he wears on a necklace under his shirt rapper-style.I also don't have a bad word to say about him, i actually made sure i went down and shook his hand when i had the opportunity once upon a time at a Cats v Hawks game. Also, have i just not been listening hard enough, or has there been less of the for eg. Stokesy Stokesy Stokesy oi oi oi this year? Maybe the crowd has just been loud enough at times to drown it out?

Catman made the transformation? Is there evidence of this? I'm a bit sceptical, because the CheerSquad is run as a committee. Would be interested to know who gave the accolades to Catman?Congratulations to Catman (if he is on here) and his efforts to transform the Cheer Squad into something much more visually appealing. Unfortunately his efforts haven't been appreciated by all. Those morbid (I just sit in the Cheer Squad for a cheap seat) oldies are furious because it blocks their view of the ground for thirty seconds. Unfortunately they will probably hang around for another season if they start building the new stands next year. Hopefully after that they can get rid of all the dead wood and turn it into a real "Cheer" squad, and not just a cheap seat area.

(waits for Jub Jub to have a go at me for bagging the Cheer Squad)
Smedts ???Who is that guy? Too tall for Stokes
The players call our CheerSquad 'The Veggie Patch'Erm... at the Sydney game, a mother and (adult) son were sitting next to me and we starting chatting as the game went on.
Mum: What's up with our cheer squad? They're not making much noise.
Son: Maybe they need to go to cheer school?
Me: Don't get too ambitious. I think school-school might be a good start.
Mum: *cuffs me over the head* THEY ARE PILLARS OF THE COMMUNITY!
*son laughs*
(ps - agree with OP, well done)

There are two porno moustachesMitch Brown
I only saw Smedts' lolI'm more disturbed by what looks like a penis drawn over Josh Walkers head
OP trying to say something about Walker ?

When did he do that newsc? + are you actually Catman?Catman actually upset a few of the powers that be in the Cheer Squad.
To allow the big flags back, he was supposed to have begged to them and then they would then beg to the Geeloong Football Club who would then beg to the AFL.
Instead Catman put on a suit and tie and went straight to the top.
Every Cheer Squad in the AFL has benefited. They can all wave real flags instead goal umpire sized ones.
For those that don't know, Catman is the son of 1963 premiership full back Roy West.

Not to mention having to listen to Catman abuse our players + constantly call them "campaigners"!!! Catman's language at the footy is appalling!!! Just read his diatribe on his Facebook page about how the whole of the AFL didn't stop when his father died + he didn't see why it should stop because Phil Walsh diedWhy do you wish to kick fellow Geelong supporters out of their own seats? There is a variety of reasons they may want those seats like a) they are cheaper - being old doesn't mean life is easy b) attachment to the seats and the outer or c)its where they like to sit!
Why are you classifying supporters who may have supported the club for 40-60 years (depending how 'old' these people are you speak of) as 'deadwood?' They have had the opportunity, luck or whatever you want to call it to watch many more great players grace that ground than you or I. Yet you deem them 'dead wood' because some want to flap about with large flags? An explanation would be great
I had an old guy (75+) sitting next to me who kept commenting on Dangerfield and Motlops bright shoes. "What are they thinking?" he asked me. "Proper footballers like Peter Riccardi always wore black shoes when I was growing up" I replied. He nodded in agreement. It was the highlight of my day.
Sure, the cheersquad does look prettier in those two quite convenient side-by-side photos you have posted, but I fail to see why you need to have a dig at the old guys? If I had to pay money for a seat, I also wouldn't want my view disrupted constantly.
I have some friends in the CheerSquad who said that Catman was hauled over the coals by Brian Cook last week + told to pull his head in, to behave with some decorum, or he'd be booted. That's why I'm questioning where the story that Catman has transformed the CheerSquad came from ???Catman made the transformation? Is there evidence of this? I'm a bit sceptical, because the CheerSquad is run as a committee. Would be interested to know who gave the accolades to Catman?
Thanks, but the articles are a year old, I thought this was something recent.
Having some friends in the CheerSquad the stories they tell would curl your hair lolWho knew there were politcal divisions amoungst people in a cheersquad?
Agree with the general sentiment of this thread - not my cup of tea, however have noted how he gives up a lot of time for photos etc.
and this is why that mag goes straight from my letterbox and into my recycle bin.
I take it you're not a fan?and this is why that mag goes straight from my letterbox and into my recycle bin.
Love Catman, anyone who is obsessed with Cats as much as he is has to be a good bloke in my books. The cheersquad have improved and I suggest it's been a team effort.
Another shining example of why I have less than zero interest in being part of the cheer squadDon't forget Paul "Teach" Kellett.
He is always at the VFL games too.

Only if I get to become the new CatmanDoes that mean you have interest in joining a cheer squad?
