Well done Eags . I thought you played really well and showed some purpose whereas my boys lacked.
I actually think the scoreline flattered the Hawks, some of our goals from ridiculous frees. I've said before about rules ruining the sport we follow
and generally I'm angry because of what its done to our club at times.
But I suspect 4 goals we got, we didn't earn.
I have been to see West Perth play over the last season and a half and have had the pleasure of watching your sleeping giant play at WAFL level.
Well he is as good a pickup as Lance Franklin, and is a "one in 20 years" natural footballer that you get now and again like Cyril Rhioli is.
My goodness you folks have some football pleasure to watch over the next few seasons. This lad is everything, he shepherds he handballs he rucks beautifully and kicks goals and gee he's only going to get better.
I'm really impressed, he's still a boy Woosha will need to keep his head on right ,but I reckon the youngster is a class person too so that is almost answered. Good luck Eagles, but don't expect that we will lay down either

Rioli would have lapped up the conditions and hurt us. Luckily for us he wasn't there. The first half overpossessing with dinky handballs was bad by Hawthorn and the kicking out from points was diabolical at times. Mitchell, Sewell and Roughead were good as usual. Franklin was made to look better than he really was by his generous teammates.
