Quite disgraceful that people are having a go at him. This is not a medal for best player in the competition but rather best season had by a player. He had the most disposals of anyone in the league, and that for an inside midfielder is remarkable. Not to mention top 3 for the tackles.

Number one 'love to hate' target on WC board for being traded or dropped. 332 pages thread ongoing for a number of years.

Can anyone think of another club champion so hated by their own team?

We'll take him, disgraceful that he cops that much from his own fans. Might not be the most skilled but gets a heap of it and seems an outstanding character.
