Yeah, didn't think that would sneak by anyone.

Some of that, but honestly if Fyfe was going to lose to anyone that finished with 20+ votes, it might as well have been Priddis. He does his best with what he's got, and as much as we all hate the Eagles, they haven't been gifted the best talent in the country or a million bucks to spend on established players. Good on him. It's worth keeping in mind a lot of it is borderline schadenfreude given a lot of Freo fans are in the same camp as the diehard anti-Priddis mob on your board and think this will just hurt you long term.
Irrespective of that Priddis is definitely a hard bloke to dislike and he was a Freo fan before joining your flog club![]()
Surely that's a problem with your coaching staff and how they structure the midfield and not of the player.

He's a worthy winner by virtue of polling the most votes of any other player, eligible or otherwise.Good bloke, but an undeserving Brownlow Medallist.
- Ablett injured
- Fyfe suspended for 4 weeks
- Franklin missed a few games
Plus most of the other top prospects had niggles or missed a few games.
All the best to him, it was true humility to admit he felt embarrassed - but IMO he doesn't deserve to be called a "Brownlow Medallist".
He's a worthy guy, but not a worthy winner.
Surely it shouldn't be a blight on his brownlow that he was fit enough and mentally tough enough to play every game? As deserving a winner as anyone in past years IMOGood bloke, but an undeserving Brownlow Medallist.

Buddy couldn't have overtaken him even with 3 in the final roundTo borrow a footy cliche, you can only beat what's in front of you. Not his fault that Ablett popped out his shoulder, Fyfe made frequent visits to the MRP or Buddy was rested in a dead rubber. The Brownlow is a measure of who is best that year, not who is most talented overall.
And yet he averaged a higher disposal efficiency percentage and a lower clanger count than Kennedy (by a significant 0.8 per game) with more clearances and a higher tackle count. Glad that Kennedy didn't win it, would have bradburied it.
The Shueys and Mastens would hardly get the ball without Priddis' stoppage work, he's almost a lone hand in their engine room and doesn't get anywhere near the chop out Kennedy gets from his on ball brigade.
Which doesn't fit:
Goodes
Ablett
Judd
Swan
Bartel
Buckley
Hird
Voss
Priddis
Yeah I'm equal parts delight as I watch a complete spud win the brownlow and utter Nausea that Fyfe should've won lol
Reckon not too many people are not going to be happy with this
Ace Priddis. I like it.Matt Priddis. What a guy
Have to talk about Cox/NN to fill in time.
Woewodin, no Grant, no Carey, no Ablett, no Mitchell, an admitted drug cheat being able to keep his award...
The All-Australian selectors have a few more spots to chuck their players; Naitanui, after all, was named in a pocket, rendering even the notion of a rigid number of midfielders redundant. Considering the broader number and types of selectors, and the notion of repeated and season-long chin-scratching and contemplation, I'd probably rate that selection above the umpires favouritism that comes with the Brownlow.
Mitchell ends up with 8 votes, despite being an awesomely well-rounded footballer, someone who's amply skilled on either side, has a real footy brain, hits the contest hard and plays well every weekend. Champions miss out on votes if they're in good teams, while champions miss out on votes while getting flogged every week – there's a nice little intersection on the venn diagram where team performance buffers the player's potential votes most.
People seem more cynical to the award. The Brownlow has been tainted with questions and bemusement. The idea of winning the Brownlow seems to have sunk a little lower in the past half a decade.
Is the Brownlow, for all intents and purposes, a massive crock of shit?
I say this as someone who has nothing against Priddis and never held the award in much esteem. And who says the Fyfe suspension was right and fair, and that even without the bans, still isn't the best player in the competition.
So...
There's a lot of miserable pricks in this thread.
It's not like he votes for himself.
