The stats that Fitzpatrick read out were quite impressive. Good on him for winning the Brownlow. Nice to see someone win without the hype and thought he spoke very well. When you boil it down is there that much difference between the top 12 or so mids over the course of a season. It's a funny game footy.

Congrats to Priddis, a very well deserved brownlow win after so many consistently high standard seasons now. Doesn't lose his cool and give away stupid suspensions. Is obviously very well conditioned as he doesn't suffer from any lingering injuries. Doesn't go through any quiet patches as Franklin, Gray, Boak, Kennedy etc went through this year. Just keeps on showing the younger eagles midfielders how its supposed to be done week after week. Has the stats to back it up too.

When you factor in the fact that he didn't have anyone taking votes off of him, he is a proven vote getter, and that Ablett and Fyfe would have won the medal if circumstances didn't affect them, it's not at all that surprising.

And for all the bagging of Woewodin he was amazing in the year he won it. Yes he was average every year before that and terrible afterwards but he had 1 fantastic year and since the brownlow is over 1 year that's enough to win it, so there.

Doesn't necessarily have to be. Probably not as far off it as some here are making out either given he was #1 for disposals (doesn't run around looking for cheap ones either) and # for tackles for THIS YEAR.
