Haha. Actually, this might work in reverse. She's heading into her peak and her birthday is actually on a leap year (I kid you not).

The match day thing is interesting. I reminded her of this last night and I got the 'oh so you wouldn't give up one game of footy for me?'

I suggested we plan it for a Saturday when we are playing on Sunday and make sure the hotel has Foxtel. I thought it was pretty reasonable.

tell her footy runs from March to September... tell her she has 5 months of good weather to choose from, surely she can find a time in there!

I am in OH&S.

Marriage is the hazard, divorce is one of the risks associated with that hazard. Exposure is high and the worst possible outcome is serious damage ... to my bank balance and anatomy. However if I put some safeguards in place, there is no reason why marriage can not function for me quite well, possibly even to my benefit.

The key is just not placing anything anywhere where it can get chopped off.

Congratulations ODN. Married life is great. I've had 5 whole years experience at it now and have loved every day of it.

Do what I did and get married on New Year's Eve.
It's romantic, it won't clash with the football season and best of all you will never forget your anniversary! :thumbsu:

Congrats ODN, I hope your undying love for the Carlton Footy Club is exceeded by your love for your fiance.

From a newlywed (5 months) to a prospective newlywed, my only advice is to enjoy the big day - it goes wayyyy too quickly, so make sure you pay the cash or organise to have someone on the end of a still and video camera.
