Congratulations guys/gals :)

Silly question and one I've always been curious to ask as Ive seen the odd SE avatar around, but how does one qualify to be SE?
We'll go through a cull soon and then we look around prior to the new season.

A massive wow ! Steve Bradbury would be proud of you guys.
Timed your run to perfection. I'm part of the 2nd and 3rd overall ranked teams and have to admit after last week, one of the league's was looking a little shaky. Lots of premiums sitting on the pine in a few of the teams, meant we were in a little strife.
Well done fella's. The League of Legends !

I was more curious to see if there was a certain criteria/ranking system that you go by?
Yeah definitely.

Posting regularity on this site and ranking of course comes into calculation. I'm not 100% sure on the ranking levels but the posting is a big one. We always need solid contributors.

At least two-three years of consistent rankings.

Solid posting history on BigFooty.

And also trying to spread our 36 members across the 18 clubs.

So you don't post here, but somehow knew the thread was here. Interesting, you loiter much?

Actual someone posted it in a thread on the SCE board.

However whats the problem if me (or anyone else) does loiter?

On a side note you're in a thread about SCE (created not by an SCE poster) having a whine and a whinge. :$

I will happily contribute to the board if they would accept my advice over, let's say, SuperCoachPaige.
It's fair to say any advice is better than SC Paige :D

I think we'd all be happ(ier) if the BF SC regulars (only) were given read-only access to the SCE private board. That way, at least, the people who are on BF day in, day out, are able to gain some knowledge from SCE. I can't speak for SCE members, but I would have thought that if they truely loved BF, as they claim, and were keen to see its members succeed, get better and had a desire to see multiple BF aligned leagues in the top 20, they'd be all for the regulars picking up a bit of knowledge. Chief can quite easily create a private permissions list to provide read-only access to the board and I'd be happy to provide a list of regular posters to add to that list.

I know that I'd love to see multiple BF leagues in the top 20. What great advertising that would be for this forum. Have a look at the top 10 leagues, SuperCoachCoach forums dominate them.

Perhaps something worth discussing??

Out of curiosity, what were all the final rankings of all the guys in the best league?
Tragics 1's final rank was 48th. Slipped from 16th three weeks out with injuries of late a killer.

Hmm I see where you are coming from, difference is we only have a few leagues - 1 + 2 (although this year we also had A + B because a few members had some spare slots) - in a sort of relegation system and result weighted group. A lot of other forums spread their members over multiple groups, and is why you see the same group with a different combination of letters or numbers, i.e

SuperCoachCoach #1, SuperCoachCoach #4, SuperCoachCoach AA, SuperCoachCoach JJ etc

I assume they also do it to self advertise their website and get a few other keen SuperCoachers across. Each their own.

I'm not a fan of read only permissions - as sometimes you will miss out on a lot of context without having the ability to add to the discussion, half the time most of the team don't know what Parasite is saying.

I do think a few of us can help out the community by offering opinions - however - what has made us successful is really going against the crowd - and is where a lot of discussion happens. Ill raise it with the team.

There a point though where certain information needs to be kept behind closed doors in order for it to be shared.

I know that personally, I've shared information in SCE which I'm not supposed to put into the public domain (On here or on TS) on the understanding that what's in SCE stays in SCE- and as elitist as it sounds, for such a dynamic to work, you kinda need the curtain around it.

That said though, it's been years since I've posted on the main board. Spread myself a little thin with TS I think- something I'll need to remedy next pre-season I reckon.

Perhaps, given that the season is over, some of your advice from 2015 would be general enough without directly impacting your 2016 efforts.

Many of us do make the effort to post on here at times, but we aren't well received here by a few so some are reluctant to venture here.

Eh, I nicked off because when I responded to questions I got my team trolled in response. I know krk004 and others who ventured on to the SC threads on the BF Lions and Giants boards got the same level of answering I would've done here.

Can't claim to have been any kind of trailblazer this year - started at about 100,000ish but managed to bring it into 2,500ish - but the two main jump ups we got were a bunch of us having trades left in the last two weeks, including a single trade in the last week, plus good plans set up in the lead up to the byes. Made up a lot of ground over those three weeks, and then finished with a bang.

Oh, and don't trade out Cripps for Heeney after week 1 like some flog did to handicap himself.

Hold your trades, and be nice to people, even if they won't show you their treehouse.

Have you SCE guys limited yourself to just the 2 leagues then?

The primary leagues are the two leagues SCE-1 and SCE-2.

As Walesy said this year with the extra leagues each SCE member also joined an extra SCE league each being SCE-A and SCE-O.

Easy, just finish in the top 100 two years in a row and SCE will no doubt poach you to join their exclusive private BF forum in their vain quest to be the #1 SC League for the 4th time in 5 years or whatever it is. After that we won't hold our breathe waiting for you to post much here with us common folk on the regular BF SC (rookie & gerry) forum.:rainbow:

Perhaps can we post the 2015 locked SCE thread on the main board for others to read?

Research on methodology used

Congrats to SCE on another overall league win.

However your comments about the SCC leagues are inaccurate.
The SCC #x leagues are public leagues that anyone could be invited to.
All you had to do was join the SCC website and post your 2014 SC final rank on the public forum.
The highest ranked 17 teams were then put into SCC #1. Teams ranked 18-35 were in SCC #2 and so on.
This is the same way the BF leagues are formed.
The only exception was that Marcus, the creator of the SCC forum, was in every league so he could be the captain and run them.

The SCC AA & KK leagues were created from the SCC veteran members.
These are generally people that have been on the SCC forum for a number of years.
The SCC QQ league was made from new members to the veterans who applied and were accepted into the veterans group after providing SC results for the previous 3 years (or there about).
These invitations were open to anybody and announced and promoted on the SCC podcast which Marcus & Mark (FBDonkey) have produced since 2009 (I think).
The SCC JJ league is created for veteran members who have a spare league and are filled randomly from the veteran list (similar to what SCE did with their SCE A + B leagues).

I'll never snub this board if I ever reached the top 100.

However if I ever won SuperCoach overall I'd think about it :)

4. Also we don't bring in anyone who seems like an utter tool.

There was no great secrets or uniques this year, we made a lot of mistakes along the way amongst us, but like last year probly had a few more trades in the bank than the other top leagues at the finish. Replacing Swan in the last round with my last trade helped me get 22 and 300th for the round altho my overall was pretty ordinary at about 4000.

Captaincy/Vice captaincy felt to me like it was lucrative all year for a lot of us even though we all went different ways, dunno if any better than other leagues though.
