Well done! Now I have to listen to KB talk even more shit!

He wont be complaining about the clash strip now ;) Someone go give him one now.

Congratulations to Richmond for wining the flag. They demonstrated well how GF's are meant to be played today.
Hard at the ball, hard at the body and disciplined. Well done to Dimma, well deserved after all the struggles he had to endure as a coach in his term.

Its hard to say, but I do have a lot of Richmond supporting mates, so to all of them, soak it up. Enjoy! Congratulations Tigers. To do it this year was a mighty effort

Congratulations all Tigers fans.

Awesome win, way too good. By far the best team of the finals, and when your smallest winning margin of the three was six goals it's hard to argue.

One final comment. Trent Cotchin. Wow. He has always been good, and mostly very good. But he's gone to a different level now. Inspirational doesn't seem enough.

Enjoy.

Congratulations guys. Well played.

This morning I read a story on the AFL website about one gentleman (a Tigers fan from SA) who was diagnosed with a terminal blood disease. He was given four weeks to live, four weeks ago. To think that he waited 37 years and made it to see a Richmond premiership before he dies - that got me quite emotional. It's been a long time between drinks for Croweaters but it's been longer for you all. As a human being I can't help but be happy for you. You've got a heart of stone if you don't like seeing footy fans celebrating the end of a huge and disappointing drought.

About the game itself, what can I say? That's football. We were a better side through the year, but in both 1997 and 1998 we beat minor premiers on the days that really mattered. There's no point getting all pissy about it and being a bad loser.

There's an opposition and you have to beat them on the day. Hate to say it but our players and many of our supporters didn't pay enough respect to Richmond as an opposition. I always said during GF week that we were a 2/3rds chance to win. But on Friday when I was listening to the Crows Bigfooty podcast, something made my ears prick up. Our podcast hosts (love em to bits) were going one by one through individual match-ups, the forwardline, the backline, the middle. They were saying things like 'Ah well, Talia will give Riewoldt a bath and he's their only key forward, so already it's looking pretty dire for Richmond. Looking across every line I just don't see how they're winning.'

This made me quite suspicious. Footy doesn't work that way. It's not a matter of this player is better on paper than his direct opponent, our forwardline is better than their defence, so abara-kadabra, we'll win. A game is played by flesh-and-blood human beings on a field of grass, and there can be only one winning team on grand final day.

Many classy posts in here thank you guys! So ruddy happy right now!! Partied hard on swan st last night with all the Tiger faithful it was bloody awesome!
Good for you, well deserved and a popular result across the country. We've had to put up with saturation levels
of over confidence and entitlement. A poster on our board tells us that they had already pre built a new trophy cabinet
in anticipation of the inevitable.
In fairness they've had an awesome year so yesterday's awesome result somehow seems appropriate.
All Port people are very happy for Dimma
That Dusty bloke goes alright and thought Houli played really well too

Well done Richmond and to you supporters. I had my 8 year old with me at the MCG yesterday and he turned to me in a flood of tears in the 3rd quarter and said "I know we're going to lose dad". Broke my heart. But when we eventually did lose we agreed that it couldn't have been to a club more deserving than Richmond. Driving up the traffic log jam all the way up Punt Road at about 9pm seeing everyone in such euphoria was great to see, even though our hearts were breaking. Devastated for our people, desperately wanted to win it for Walshy, Sauce etc, but really happy for you all and your club. It is your time, Enjoy.

What a difference a day makes

Yesterday, walking through the shops in suburban Adelaide -> Crows shirts, jumpers etc everywhere.
Today -> walking through the shops in suburban Adelaide -> not a single f*%king Crows shirt or jumper to be seen.

And I must say I took great delight in listening to Andrew Jarman and KG on the radio this morning eating humble pie.
Those flogs had it in the bag last Friday night. No respect for the opposition -> typical Crows mentality.

Thank you TIgers
I can enjoy the Ashes series now

Congrats Tigers fans.

I can assure you as a Melbourne fan I'm extremely jealous you've finally broken the drought.

Can't wait to be playing the reigning premiers on ANZAC eve.

Enjoy!

Saved us from a fate worse than death
on behalf of all Port people
thanx :hearts:
Was surrounded by Crows supporters in the stands...its a wonder i survived to the end of the match!
Loved yelling out PORT every time the Adelaide Adelaide chant went up! Some salty bemused looks from crows supporters! lol
Every time the tigers scored a goal...kept yelling PORT would not have allowed that!
Ahhh what a great day!

Enjoy it guys, I was rapt to see your superb high pressure game plan gradually squeeze the life out of Adelaide, especially when you could actually see it break them mentally, when earlier in the game they were being ****wits trying to get in your face in the first quarter. I think Crows will be right up there again next year but i can't stand them so it was bloody enjoyable to watch!

Dusty's a champion, his decision making is just brilliant. Cotchins work rate under tag was superb, Jack was really big at times and Rance was an absolute wall early. Great stuff, well done.:thumbsu:
