Well done Hawks, deserved winners, we had our chances, but it goes to show, EXPERIENCE IS OVERRATED as shown by Mooney.... people who were saying experience would win it for us, load of Chit.... the Geelong supporters (not me) probably did get a bit too cocky in the end... but Hawthorn, well done!! And Im happy for Crawf, you guys deserved it.

Great win by the Hawks today, fantastic performance against a team which has dominated for 2 years.

Dew - what a signing.

Rioli - amazing talent, went quiet towards the end but his tackling and that goal he kicked were huge.

Hodge - some ammunition for you lads now in the Judd vs Hodge debate.

Gilham - fantastic game for a guy who used to play for North in the SANFL.

Buddy - nothing more needs to be said, didn't dominate but when he got the ball he was brilliant.

edit - how could I forget Crawford? :eek: he was awesome, was on the park for the whole 3rd term and his interview after the game was great.
 
As much as I hate the Hawks, well done. I think every footy fan would be so happy for Crawf today.

Congrats Hawthorn - I hope you fans enjoy the celebration. I know the feeling from 2000, you will enjoy it for a long time.

Before i say what i have to say i want to make it perfectly clear that i despise hawthorn as a club and every single person that supports them. Ive said this on our board but not yours that i cant even watch hawthorn games during the year, even beating lesser teams ....purely because of the hatred i have for them/you. But i cant help that, thats just how it is. I make no apologies for that.

However

What i do want to say to hawthorn supporters is that posts like that one ive highlighted , ie: we kicked points instead of goals and thats why we lost. is really a complete copout and if i was a hawthorn supporter would find it almost insulting. We were outplayed and the better team on the day won and won comfortably.

The idea of the game is to control the pressure and rise above it , which hawthorn did and we didnt. Its as simple as that. We had many many opportunities to kick away in the 2nd , and ya know what?. We didnt. You grabbed it by the throat in the 3rd and won the game right then and there.

Im absolutely gutted and i wont be posting on here again but i just thought that it should be said before all the bloody excuse fairys come out for the evening (or weeks as it may be).

Im off to sink my head into a vat of scotch and pick my chin up off the ground. You deserve everything thats coming to you and enjoy the million beers you drink over the next week. You lucky bastards
