One seriously hard contest. Hawks very much earned it today. And from another clubs fan to you guys I have to compliment the absolutely outstanding job done in all the post match wrap. The family club thing doesn't just seem to be a tag, you could see how comfortable all the boys were with the little ones after the game and how keen everyone was to get their loved ones involved. The smile on the young lad crawf hugged on the dais was absolutely priceless and an image I could see hanging around the club for a long, long time. Amazing how getting the off field stuff right seems to bleed into the way a team plays. Outstanding effort Hawks. Enjoy.

When I talked with some of you before the game, I said it would come down to who could withstand the physical buffeting, and in the end it was us who caved in. We had every opportunity to break open the game and wasted each and every one, and you fellas did what good teams do and seized your opportunity when it came and thats why youve got the trophy.

Was pleased to catch up with Goldy, BR and Keefy after the match to congratulate and commiserate and look forward to joining you lot at the Christmas party. The wounds should have at least stopped bleeding by that point.

I know this must be a --- i dont know..a terrible time at the moment. So much incredibly hard work put in during the season for no ultimate reward. Not good.
