Connors, Griffiths and Jackson are all definately in by the sounds of it. We'll bring in a ruckman too. Either Browne of Polak. Would like to see Post and Taylor in too

Connors, Griff, Jackson, Moore and Polak or Browne...will play. (reliable source)

Considering the weather isn't going to be great I think Polak will get the nod.

Swap Moore and Polak with Post and Taylor and it looks more like the future  Can't continue having a midget defence and lack of small forwards

Plus Taylor is not up to AFL standard yet. Needs to improve his tank and add some size and strength to his frame. Has a child's build and will just get monstered.

its worrying how long and how often foley has been out.
The word 'chronic' pops into my head & I hope to God I am wrong... a vital cog in our midfield wheel is Axel...

Now to the changes:
So who makes way then?

Simmo obviously goes out for either Polak or Browne... can't take on Cox & Nic Nat with just Gus.

Griffiths would have to come for Morton unless the coach wants to give Mitch more than a single week... unless Astbury goes for Griff but if Moore is to come in then Astbury could make way there... otherwise one of Thursty or McGuane... the backline is not very settled at the moment.

Connors, a running half/back wing & Jackson a run with mid.

Pressure on the likes of King & Farmer but both did OK last week... White perhaps makes way for Jacko?

One of Nason or Nahas probably could go as neither were very effective last week but then neither plays a Connors or Jackson role.

Too many questions for this little black duck... certainly one of the more intriguing selection afternoons The Tigers have had of late...

Oh... an afterthought... has anyone been to training this week?
Martin's "corky" worries me a bit and if it is not 100% perhaps he will be forced to take a rest this week... I bloody hope not though.

So u wanna bring in

Connors 184cm Def
Griffiths 199cm Fwd
Jackson 188cm onballer
Taylor 190cm Fwd
Post 194cm Fwd/Def

because a lack of small forwards ... ahhh what?

and you wanna definately leave out
Moore 190cm Def
Polak 194cm Def/Ruck/Fwd

because of a midget defence ... ahhh what?

We really need that 195cm tall defender. Don't really see the need for Moore when we are bringing in Connors. Maybe Gourdis will get a game too

Is the Goo eligable to be promoted this week? Or is that next week?
The Goo is eligable this week.

My ideal selections would be:

INS: FOley, Jackson, Connors, Gourdis, Griffiths, Moore, Polak

Outs:Farmer, King, White, Thursfield, Nahas, Simmonds

Connors would be playing HBF.
Morton stays in as 4th tall his actual position and essentially replaces Nahas, while Griffo becomes the FF.

Moore to replace Farmer. They can play the same roll except Kelvin is taller and a hell of alot quicker.

Will be interesting though.

Also it just sounds like they are really being extra careful with Foley and wrapping him in cotton wool until they are 100% sure he is right. I like this approach because the whole reason his injury was so bad was because Wallace and Rawling continued to play him. We don't really need him this year so just get him right for next year and hopefully he plays the last 10 games and has a big pre season.

Griffo better play, I've booked flights already ;)
Flights to where???
Moore is one of Hardwicks love childs, when he is fit he plays.
Plus he's a bloody good player having a standout year down back.

Extremely worried. I know we're just being highly cautious and protective, which is the right approach this year, but it's been going on for a while.

My guess is Polak, Griffiths, Jackson, Connors and Moore
for Morton, Nason, Nahas, Simmonds and King.

Didn't wanna drop King but too many good ins. Only reason Tambo will be out is if his leg is no good.

not worrying at all........... must be uktra cautious with axel
no point in playing him this year unless we are 100% confident he is over his injuries !

we have more than enough kids that need game time pumped into them this year................ finishing last is just about certain in 2010

add sam day to our list next year and get all the kids with 10-15 games in them and all the seniors like foley ready to go !! that should be our only goal this year
