Conor McKenna charged with biting

3 weeks seems light considering he had a guilty plea and virtually admitted to an act that is seen as a disgrace in our game.

Tribunal is always chook lotto though and nothing has changed.

Getting a week off the sentence for pleading guilty when the video, images and medical report have already sunk you is taking the piss a bit. It's not like the charge was never going to stick.

Three weeks is a disgrace.

Biting is disgusting and potentially dangerous, it's what animals do.

Houli unintentionally wacks a block and the AFL appeal his original suspension calling it manifestly inadequate... He got four weeks.

and yet this bloke gets only 3 for a disgusting act that a dog would be put down for.

AFL is a disgrace. If it was Bachar Houli and he got three weeks, the AFL would deem it manifestly inadequate and suspend him for 12.

What about your captain? whacks a bloke in the guts 2 twice and gets off both times.

Some try to look at the overall. Most dog fans thought it should be minimum 4. Most Essendon maximum 4. Using that as a gauge, 4 was probably appropriate. However the counsels argued differently. one thought min 2 max 4, the other min fine, max 2. Law of averages said 3 is fair.
whoever thought it should be a fine probably should have been across town doing a comedy show.

If the punishment doesn't make you think "oh that was a bit harsh" then it probably wasn't enough and leads to a weak precedent that will only come back to bite them on the arse later.

Does anyone else think the mark on Dickson looks like a hickey?

Personally I think McKenna should have claimed that he was passionately kissing Dickson and used this opportunity to come out as the first gay AFL player, surely that would have got him off any possible suspensions.

Well to quote you - FFS. It was a filthy act, unprovoked, totally unnecessary and an unwanted part of our game. I've seen players cop 3 weeks for totally accidental blows. Weak as piss by the tribunal.
4 weeks is not weak by the tribunal as 1 week was discounted for early guilty plea, FFS a bee sting is more nasty and would have caused 50 times more pain and damage. Dickson basically was not concerned or hurt one bit(e).... ;) half the redness/markings would have been from that irish dudes stubble, probably all gone next day.

I reckon he's been hanging around this bloke too much. Angry bitey pills.

3 weeks is light on but he put his hand up & if he hadnt would have copped 6 most probably. & then there's Masten who actually drew blood, put his victim on antibiotics, pled not guilty & got 2 weeks. Which is the greater travesty, just sayin...
