We have seen examples of "historical positives" before with cases added to the total count but not the active count.

Source? I haven't seen this. Not saying it didn't happen but all I read was that it is a line of enquiry that they are following.
Conor McKenna is having more tests on Monday to confirm he has COVID-19 in his system.
Though a false positive appears unlikely, foxfooty.com.au understands it is being investigated as a possibility by health officials...
...Last week NSW Health director of public health pathology Professor Dominic Dwyer said false positives can occur with any test but “they are very rare.”
Professor Dwyer said “multiple tests” need to be conducted in some cases “to be sure.”

I don't think Tasmania has said teams will get an exepmtion from the 14 day quarantine. So, any hub in Tassie couldn't start for two more weeks at a minimum. And the Tas government isn't keen (quite rightly) on paying money for games which won't bring any tourist dollars.Should be a Tasmanian hub also.
No idea why Hawthorn and North are playing each other in Melbourne this weekend, destroys that future possibility.
The AFL should legitimately mix this weekends Carlton & Melbourne and Hawthorn & North fixtures around to enable Hawthorn and North to head up a Tasmanian hub with an additional 2 x teams ~ 1 x additional teams based out of Hobart, 1 x additional out of Launceston....
Nek minnit....Things can only get better.
Obviously he not very intelligent
???? Has something happened in Qld hub?Nek minnit....
Can't even train now. Season is a joke.
The false positive theory was put forward by Xavier Campbell (Essendon CEO), Health Dept says its highly unlikely but further tests will be conducted to confirm or rule out.
It could well turn out to be a false positive but I don't think it's time to hand McKenna his hand written apology just yet.
They'd still be worried even if Essendon had most of its back line missing.Carlton wont be happy if it ends up being a false positive and they have to play a full strength Essendon![]()
SA have opened up to everyone but Victoria & NSW. Just haven't been reciprocated which is strange given we have had no active cases or community infections for close to a month.Hell no, not to Victoria.
The rest of us though that have done the right thing.
Im still disappointed WA and SA haven’t opened up.
Other states probably see it as a good excuse to keep South Australians away for a bit. Might not have much to do with active cases.SA have opened up to everyone but Victoria & NSW. Plan to open up to NSW July 20 if they remain under control, which was also the plan with Victoria, which looks unlikely with the spike in community infections.
Seems Gil the Dill is of similar thinking.Other states probably see it as a good excuse to keep South Australians away for a bit. Might not have much to do with active cases.
The AFL already announced that game would be shelved for now, and would be played as a catch up game probably in July. When is the Essendon Melbourne game?? Why the silence from afl?? Not even looking into it??
If i was a betting man, i would be loading up on this happening.
1. No 14 day isolation
2. McKenna magically returning a negative result
3. Essendon and Melbourne rolling out wednesday night.
4. The double standard vic government on show for all to see after their tantrum today.
Did they? The AFL already announced that game would be shelved for now, and would be played as a catch up game probably in July.
No one from Victoria goes to SA anyway unless they are forced too so closing the border to us means jack.SA have opened up to everyone but Victoria & NSW. Just haven't been reciprocated which is strange given we have had no active cases or community infections for close to a month.

Excellent lets keep it that wayNo one from Victoria goes to SA anyway unless they are forced too so closing the border to us means jack.![]()
Don't worry we don't want anyone from the irresponsible state either to infect us...No one from Victoria goes to SA anyway unless they are forced too so closing the border to us means jack.![]()
