Why do people genuinely think the season will be cancelled?

Do you really think the AFL will just give up after a single player tests positive in round 3, pouring tens of millions of dollars down the drain?

Goes back to the question. What was wrong with WA and SA being the hub. We have our sh*t together... no crowds so you don't need to play in a giant empty stadium. Plenty or good WAFL and SANFL grounds aswell as Optus and Adelaide oval.

Oh noes what a surprise - australias covid manufacturing state has a player test positive to covid....

If ONLY someone could have predicted this incredibly easy to predict thing to have happened.

if only the vfl was the afl and f}{^%* well acted like it and moved the comp to the safest state in the country

All you halfwits one eyed vic-dicks who posted shit like iTs tOo eXpeNsiVe To moVe aRe vicToriAn teams - are you finally catching on?

The leagues total vic-centricness looks to have bitten them on the arse. The afl doesnt deserve the name.

F#^#** USELESS

Players probably figured dying from infectious disease>Having to live in either SA or WA

Just on SEN
Connor was training yesterday blowing his nose, spitting on the ground, hugging teams mates and assistants.
Oh dear

Vic had a big spike over night. Looks like its spreading there. And the Vic media had fun ripping into McGowan. Lol. The only sane headed leader in this mess.
Or maybe a state with a much bigger population is always going to struggle to keep a highly contagious virus under control?

There’s a thought.

The corona dick measuring contest is a joke.

Weren't the AFL expecting this maybe the case at some point?. I'm sure they had a plan for it?
Yea you would think so but you know..

Because Vic clubs didn't want to move.

Ban the filthy infected Victorian teams and let the other 8 play off for finals.

Considering Sydney played Essendon less than a week ago and GWS were on a flight with Sydney yesterday-- pretty sure it would rule them both out too.

Queensland Hub is the only teams left.

To be fair the AFL has already lost a shitload of money, I doubt all the Victorian clubs playing outside of Victoria would ever have been practical given the costs.
You do realise they could have had hotels for 30c on the dollar.

and thst it would have been offset by no flights.

Sir this is a Wendys.

immensely less costly than calling off the season now.

Don't see why you would need to. Plenty of other leagues in the world still going despite positive tests.
