Same with Hamburg. It’s currently 2 deg and drizzling, and it’s not a city that screams tourist to me. But the lifestyle is incredible, it’s truly compact, everywhere is 20 mins max by bike, the metro is efficient and although I can speak german, you don’t really need to. Having said that - you’ll only speak English in Berlin!

Hey neighbour! I'm just out of Cologne. Yep its 2 degrees here too and very lightly snowing. Had a little trip to Hamburg some time back - I really enjoyed it. People were friendly, easy to get around, nice food. Was ridiculously cold though.
