A very subjective thread indeed!
Does a team win aflag due to it's performance or because the performance of the others was poor?
Were last years fourth placed side more brilliant than the flag winners four years ago?
If we didn't have the injuries would we have won the flag?
There are so many determining factors that such debate will be endless.
All we know is that given the lot our clubs get each season they finish where they do on the ladder and then proceed to the knockout lottery if in the top 8. At that stage one game of brilliance can knockout a club who has had a season of 22 games of combined brilliance and consistency but is flat on the particular day.
Such is the game we love.
