Has anyone here been on one? If so would really like to know how it went. I'm thinking of going to NZ this summer with one.

I did a Contiki in America. Had a HUGE time! :D

You meet heaps of people, see all the 'touristy' things - which has pro's & cons I guess, and party! (Sleep was pretty hard to come by!) It's a great way to get an overview of a place if you haven't been there before - they know the good places to go. I'm not one for doing 10 states or countries in 10 days though, so I picked tours that stopped for a couple of days in each place where possible.

There is only one way to travel in my eyes, bakpakking alone or with girlfriend or 1-2 mates. No time limits, no plans. Go with the flow and have the guts to go off the beaten track big time.

However it's not for everybody so a contiki tour is good as a start. The most important thing is that you're making the decision to go and see some of the world.

I'm not really sure what I'm going to do yet Starchild. After my uni exams I'm going to Victoria for a month or two to meet my childhood freinds who I have not seen for 10 years. I was then thinking of going on a holiday somwhere else. Thought a contiki holiday might be fun.
