I would look to trade Caddy if he truly wants to go home, no point holding players that dont want to be there, particularly when currency is high. Main target should be Beams for Caddy and even throw in our 2nd pick in the draft to get it done.

The bloke is a goal kicking ball winning gun and pies would also get to free up cap space/inherit a long term midfielder.

I think you need to give up on your little fantasy. Caddy doesn't want to go to Collingwood. Beams doesn't want to go to the Gold Coast. Caddy is promising but hasn't shown anywhere near what Beams has.

Beams has at least 2 years on Caddy. Be interesting for a comparison with both having played their first 10 games though. That's about all you can do.

Currently though its 11 games vs 67 games

I was going to post that earlier, but it's still not a true reflection and comparison because the 2 samples are not similar.

Caddy has played 11 games now, 9 this year. While it's comparing it to Beams in a full season of 25 games (including finals). So instantly the comparison shown is over twice as much experience as Caddy currently.

I can come up with 8 potential delistees, can anyone add a player to the list? In my eye all guys not mentioned here are worthy.

Krakouer - no brainer
Jolly - Talented but lacks work ethic, I couldnt see him getting a game in SANFL atm.
Hine - Can only play defence and lacks size/poor disposal. Not a baller winner either.
Hutchins - Dropped off radar, could be brought back as a rookie?
Flanagan - I would look to delist and re rookie similar to Hutchins.
Moss - Too light and struggles at NEAFL let alone AFL.
Patrick - Will probably move on, off contract and has looked unspectacular in NEAFL.
Fraser - Will either retire or be delisted.

That free's up 4 roster spots with 2 being O'Meara/Horsley. Could Nicholls/Toy be looking at a trade home to VIC?

I agree too. I've got Caddy's actual jumper - the one he wore against Hawthorn last year. It's a bit tight for me to wear though.

He is worth a rookie spot, seems to lack fitness/work ethic as on ability he is as good as our other young mids.

Id expect to see him move on from gc and end up on the rookie list of Port or Crows. If not id be happy for us to re rookie him. Up to 10 rookie list spots available so may as well. We only had 4 total rookies this year so as our senior list reduces watch for the rookie list to rise, similar to other clubs atm.
