With Lake, Simpin, Hale, Suckling, Whitecross, Shoemaker unsigned on the main list - how many if any will be retained?

Surely Simpkin is let go.

Suckers will move North.

Whitecross will be kept.

Expect based on Schoey year he will be resigned.

Lake and Hale are the two question marks for mine.

In a week draft we may only use two picks and upgrade Kiwi.

Suckling and Whitecross likely go as free agents. Hale retires. Lake either gets a 1 year extension with us or retires - maybe Dogs take him back for a year for a 4th rounder?

Schoey deserves a renewal but the club will likely look to trade him while his value is up and we have Sicily, O'Brien and Shem.

Simpkin and Grimley traded and delisted respectively to go get opportunities elsewhere.

Webster and Willsmore to get 1 year deals. Could be dependent on what happens with recruitment. Webster likely to go before Willsmore.

Woodward on to rookie list if another club doesn't take him first.

So, where i was getting, do we just keep hold of some surplus players (Simpkin, Schoe)? Can't see us using picks 90-odd on a live pick, except for getting Kiwi on the senior list.

Get rid of shoey, he's useless list clogger. Zac Webster is a keeper, he's just been unlucky with injury. Kiwi will definitely be put on the primary list.
Id be keeping simkin too, I don't know how he doesn't get a regular game.... Must have put clarko's missus away!

Maybe because he is terribly slow and his kicking has the depth of a kiddies pool.

Maybe I don't mate, but I would much prefer to see timmy o getting a go, Sicily or willsmore. Shoey has had long enough on our list and never lived up to a pick 16 in the national draft. Yes shoey has a good game here and there but struggles with consistency. Should get a decent trade off Carlton as shoey and bolts have a good relationship.

Schoenmakers was doing extremely well in the first 6 games of 2013 before he did his knee...it's taken him a while to come good; they over-bulked him leading up to 2014, between his knee and the bulk, he lost his mobility. He is a mile better now.

He is a long way ahead of O'Brien and Willsmore for a team still aiming for a flag. O'Brien has actually been a bit disappointing at Box Hill, and Willsmore is only just off the rookie list.

If it was 2005, and we were complete shit starting a rebuild, I would say play the youngsters as well. At the moment, we are aiming for a flag, and Schoenmakers is one of the crucial 23-28th players who can be thrown in with minimal loss or disruption to the team.

Schoey signed, Suckers gawn and Jed still 50/50. if Jed's hammys have been plaguing him this year as indicated in the below article then maybe they need to put him on the same programme that fixed up Cyril. We all know how well that worked out!
I'm really hoping it's just more a case of Jed getting a little bit ahead of himself in where he sits in the grand scheme of things rather than any internal disgruntlement with the club/coaches/other players etc...
