Just been confirmed Mills signed a contract extension until the end of 2018 soon after being drafted. Club kept it quiet

Likely Heeney did the same until the end of 2017
Id expect heeney will get a decent contract offer from the club by mid next year. The club will try ensure they stay one step ahead with heeney and mills throughout their careers

AFL.com.au can reveal that, like fellow Academy graduate Isaac Heeney a year earlier, Mills joined the Swans on a three-year deal rather the standard two-year contract for draftees.

Suspect Towers mega deal delaying Mitchell
Hey, loving that avatar!

Loving this club as well, just quietly go about re-signing all the key players, no fuss, just keeping the fellers from other clubs at bay.

Only Mitchell to go, probably now need the new salary cap from 2017 to be announced so we can do the deal. The new cap should allow us trade in room you would expect.

Aliir 2 years done

Awesome. He played well in Brissy for a first game and looks like he has the skills/ticker to talk over from the old guard moving forward. I love the fact that he is willing to learn and fight his way to a starting spot.

Congrats to him!!!!

I didn't think or couldn't see Tommy Mitchell leave the Swans as there weren't really many signs of him either wanting to go or the club as well willing to & more than ever now as you can see how important he is to the team& what he's bringing & producing as well;).

The Herald Article says:

"GUN Sydney midfielder Tom Mitchell is set to rebuff Carlton’s interest and sign a contract extension with the Swans.

The Herald Sun can reveal a new deal for the prolific ball-winner could be finalised within the next fortnight, locking away one of Sydney’s most important midfield cogs.

Sydney officials met Mitchell’s manager, Phil Mullen, to formalise key details on Monday, paving way for a long-term extension.

The ball magnet — who was best on ground in Friday night’s win over North Melbourne with 41 disposals and 10 tackles — is out of contract at the end of the season.

Mullen told the Herald Sun on Friday the new contract was “a work in progress” and said the 22-year-old on-baller was happy in Sydney, despite Carlton’s strong interest in last year’s trade period.

Swans chiefs are extremely confident the 181cm hard-nut will soon recommit."

I like Jake but id be happy to trade him or Cunningham if we ended up with a tom McDonald. Or both for McDonald and Watts.

You need to do yourself a favour.

Go to watch him live one day & sit up high in the stands.
Put your binoculars on Lloyd ONLY & watch him go about his business.

Jake Lloyd is perhaps the hardest runner alongside Hanners, that we have in our team.
I can assure you that in no way our club will trade such a player who has these attributes that our coaches value so much.
He very rarely, puts in a below par running effort.
He may let himself down with disposal at times but it is no wonder considering his output.

Harry is a very valued player too. He plays that disciplined lock down role whilst at the same time, becoming an attacking option on the rebound.
