Maybe you can trade with Essendon after we take Duursma and Robey? 😜
dont you say that adam sandler GIF

Wce could still probably get Sharp with a Pick 6
Melbourne could also probably sit at pick 6 and just pick him instead of trading next year's first round pick to move up to 2.

If I'm trading a future first round pick as a club that's very unlikely to make finals next year I would want a player who's close to a sure thing to be very good if not a star. Trading two first round picks for a teenager who was not really on anybody's radar until he had 3 big months would terrify me.

Reckon there has to be a way to get both GC’s pick and Carlton’s TDK compo given they likely lose it with a dean bid and need futures next year.

WCE Trade: hawks1st, eagles 2nd + (steak knives if needed)
Suns trade: pick 7

(Gives suns points required to match their academy bids)

WCE Trade: Liam Ryan + Pick 10
Saints trade: pick 8 + f2

(Essentially a f2 for Ryan is pretty good for the saints)

WCE trade: priority pick + Saints f2 + Chesser
Carl trade: pick 10

(Carlton still have points to cover a Dean bid and get some points towards Walker next year, depends if they can get a f1 for next year instead while still having enough points for dean)

Wce trade: Hawks 2nd + WCEf2 + no bid on Annable
Bris Trade Starcevich + 18
(18 gets eaten in an Annable bid regardless, the no bid covers the difference in points between 18 and hawks 2nd, meaning they get a f2 for Starce).

Eagles gain 7, 8, 18, Starcevich,

Lose 15, 19, 20, 34, f2, Ryan, Chesser

Can then look at trading 1 + 18 for 5 and 6 from the bombers.

Go to draft with 2, 5, 6, 7, 8,

Melbourne don’t need Sharp. They are stuck with Oliver, then Langford isn’t quick if he’s going to be playing midfield minutes, neither is Viney.

There's no way carlton trade a first round pick in a chesser trade.

The first round pick isn’t for Chesser, they need to trade out of it anyway or they lose it.

This trade allows them to still have the points for Dean and move some points into next year.

Whether they can do a trade that gets them a f1 and some points this year instead would be the question but given it’s a weak draft I don’t know if a team would be willing to part with a F1 to upgrade a second this year.

Really like Tylar Young but it's also the only area we're stacked in.

Went from delist potential to really locking down a position in our side with his run late in the season.

Latecomer to footy so still has plenty of km's left in the body.
All the extra time spent on airplanes will beat that out of him very quickly.

As much as I do not want to lose him from Claremont, a rookie offer to Oliver Eastland would make a load of sense.

He immediately makes our WAFL team better and can play KPF as well. He is 27 this year and 199cm, has a decent tank and hardened body he is ready to ruck at an AFL level. If it is not Oliver, then players like him. He is average 35 - 40 HO per game.
He shouldve gotten his chance years ago

St Kilda have that many irons in the fire and limited draft capital. They are going to end up having to try and low ball some of the clubs whose players they are chasing. Or maybe low ball everybody.

I think now is the time when we need to be having a conversation with Ryan and his manager and bottom lining for them for what the trade value needs to be for us to let him go. And make sure Ryan knows that the onus is on his manager to make sure St Kilda are going to offer that. Because if they don't there won't be a trade and he will need to look for another club to ask us to negotiate with.

Better to have this conversation with him now that with 48 hours left in trade week and St Kilda have only offered us pick 70. Prevent the player from blaming us if the deal doesn't happen.

Is Tylar Young still on the Richmond rookie list? If he is, can an uncontracted rookie not taking an extension contract be regarded as delisted free agent ?

Totally agree dependent on trades.

If only a Future 2nd would rather hold him to his contract as next year will be a free agent

They will find a better deal than this. This is west coast fan fantasy.

Honestly, we should JTS with pick one and wait for the offers for pick 2.

Now Robey is hot property and duursma CDT still on the board, what's Essendon willing to do to get ahead of tigers.

Now also, assuming we upgrade to pick 8 from suns.

Trade 2 for 5 10 still preserves 6 7 for bombers

1 WC sharp
2 ess Robey
3 tigs duursma
4 tigs taylor
5 WC cumming
6 ess Greeves
7 ess CDT
8 WC Schubert
9 saints grjl/farrow
10 WC farrow/grjl
