You will be back on board the Harley train come mid season

he will come good ...interrupted preseason ....he is now starting to get his hands on the pill

patience

he is immensely talented, obviously.

You want Sheezel and Lalor types with guys who you bios around.

Self starters who are willing to put the players and club on their shoulders and drive the club forward.

First 10 games Harley looked like that guy. Last 15 -far less so.

He might just need a bit more time than those guys I mentioned, let’s see.

Reckon you will see a different Harley this week against the bumbers they are chasing him and he knows it..I expect he will produce a better performance this week

I still have faith he will come good for us just going to take some time as I said before due to his interrupted preseason

Contract wise I do think he will leave us at some stage...but I think he will sign on with us until he gets to Free Agency in a couple of years

One thing we know is that players don't build much fitness during the season (play, maintain and recover cycle), it's all about the preseason.

Credit where credit is due, he has put his head down, stop giving away needless free kicks and is playing better since being moved out of the midfield.

Lets see how the rest of the season plays out.

Without priority assistance finishing last or second last and having your second pick at 31 - 33 means has taken away the ability to rebuild through the draft.
It's why a end of first round compensation is worth basically nothing. Need to ask for pick 3 and a future first primarily. If we can go in with pick 1 2 3 5 10 15( after Reid deal) and then have 2 future firsts the rebuild can somewhat now begin

can somone give me a TLDR version of who/where eagles academies are and how its going to benefit us in the next few years?
I have a bit of an understanding but feel like i'm out of the loop on some of it
hopefully I help out other readers who wanted to ask the same question

Don't think this is the draft class you want to cash all your chips in for.
AFL academy got smacked in the 2nd game by Bulldogs by 55 points and lost to Coburg by 24 in the 1st.

This has actually been a better effort from this squad.

These games always look like this though, as there's no senior bodies to protect the kids and for many, it's their first senior game against men, as well as their first game together.

The 2nd game should give us a better look.

Context: Richmond have a very good VFL program, are currently undefeated and late in the fourth only in front by 11 points.

There's a few missing from the academy squad including our NGA prospect Evans.

However, some of the skills look pretty average.

Duursma has looked good as a half back flank using his skills, but I really wanted to see him as an inside mid.

Sharp has shown glimpses, but is not the obvious standout choice for pick 1 that people thought.

Rodriguez has skills, dual sided and creative handballs but looks to lack some pace.

This draft looks like a draft with alot of diversity in it rucks, key forwards, silky half backs...

... but I am not sure who the best pure midfield prospect is at this stage.

I'm in no way the most avid draft watcher, so happy to hear others thoughts.

No clear standout this year at this stage.

Very similar to last year where it took a bit for Lalor to get a bit of a gap between him and the rest (some still have Jagga or Finn as their number 1)

It’s even harder this year due to NGA, FS and Academy kids dominating the top 30
