Who says no, campaigners?

Reuben Ginbey, Harry Edwards, Liam Duggan
Brady Hough, Callum Wilkie, Elliot Yeo
Tom McCarthy, Jack Steele, Campbell Chesser
Liam Baker, Jobe Shanahan, Tim Kelly
Liam Ryan, Jake Waterman, Tyler Brockman

Rowan Marshall, Harley Reid, Elijah Hewett

Archer Reid, Ryan Maric, Bo Allan, Jack Graham

Tyrell Dewar
WC would have definite interest in Steele, Marshall, Windhager imo.
Wilkie would be perfect if he was younger, 1 of Brock and H Edwards would be pushed out and not ideal in our list to take on 3 30yo prospects.
Would rather put draft capital into Windhager and another trade like Busslinger or draft someone like Schubert as a KPD with Hawks 1st pick.

What is hapenning at St Kilda is what happens when Lyon is the coach and eventually creeps his authority to the point where he controls the football department. He doesn't want to develop players. That takes 3 - 5 years and he might not have that long. He wants to buy finished goods off the shelf. And you usually have to offer more to get an established player to leave where he is and come to you. That creates aggro within the playing list because most of those players are not getting overs like the new recruits are. If you overpaid one or two blokes by a small amount the aggro would be contained. But when you overpay multiple blokes by large amounts the discontent explodes. Lyon doesn't have any personal skills and doesn't understand people.

Honestly I would love saints to bring in a bunch of free agents and tell all the sooks that they will see out their contracts .

Wilkie marshall ask for a trade . Nope

It's about time clubs took the power back when players are contracted

It's also Silvagni, who did similar at Carlton. Gave huge contracts to a small few which ruined their depth.

Saints have been sitting on 95%cap for years .

Unfortunately not being a big vic club it's hard to attract talent without paying overs .

Losing NAS would be a kick in the teeth.

No idea how port or crows would get a deal done . Future picks and future/future picks in the highly compromised drafts would have little value .

Watch port try and get 8 teams involved to pay for their player like they did with Horne Francis

WC should offer to trade pick 1 for Rozee. Everyone's a winner

Easy. Adelaide trade curtin to us for pick 2. Take pick 2, plus their future 2x firsts and shove it up Lyon’s ass.

Adelaide win 4/5 next premierships.

That is excellent deal for Adelaide. Don’t want to lose curtin but you are getting NAS FFS.

And as we are the only ones that can make the best deal happen, perhaps Adelaide can throw in Dowling - who seemed ok in that one game I watched.

Adelaide may need to force retire Walker though.

Come to think of it, Lyon will want pick 1. In that case, we can see what else we can get out of Adelaide. If saints rate duursma like Essendon do, they will salivate at the prospect.

Surely we ask for more in our favour there
Who knows what Matt Clarke sees as reasonable. I’d certainly counter with 1 and 19 for 5 and 6 as long as we take Sharp at 2 and two of Lindsay, Cumming and Schubert are there at 5. Could we push them even harder if they are that desperate for him? I don’t know.

The propaganda machine is already rolling Rana. Expect an offer of 5 + 6 for 1 + Hawks 1R.

I really really like this deal as long as there’s a sweetener in there, like a decent second round upgrade or something. It isn’t far off the mark and I think it’d be a huge win win

So my employer is a major sponsor of the club and tomorrow we’ve got Daisy Pearce, Nic Nat and Gavin Bell in the building doing a q and a.

If I get the chance, anything we really really want asked?

Are the sheets wet? Did Phil really kick old mate out of the room? Are we folding the club and if so when? Etc etc

Gavin- Do you think it’s a coincidence that since you were appointed Football Manager for the 2022 season then GM of Football that we’ve been really, really shit?

Saw something Collingwood might offer JHowe a deal that included a post career coaching option. Sort of a sweetener I guess to pay him less dollars.

Presumably if he’s possible coach material you’d think he must be of good character.

Of interest?

Jon Ralph OTC just said “Liam Ryan has circumstances that may see him want to move East”? Linked to Bombers, Blues, Saints. Probably full of shit but:
Ryan + 1 for 5 + 6
Ryan for Wilson or Boxshall
Ryan and 2R for TDK compo (pick 10)
