2025 Draft Order

Current Draft Picks:
Round 1: 1, 2, 13
Round 2: 34, 41
Round 3: 53, 58 (These picks are in excess of available list spots so will be forfeited if we don’t consolidate our 2025 picks up the order or trade some for future picks)

List Spots Available (39 of 48):
• Main list (33 of 38) - 5* (in: Starcevich, Young out: Allen, Ryan, Chesser, Hunt, Petruccelle, Jamieson)
• Cat A rookie list (5 of 8) - 3* (in: Robertson (pending), out: Rawlinson)
• Cat B rookie list (1 of 2) - 2 (out: Livingstone)

* Based on Dewar being upgraded after the maximum 3 years on the rookie list. Hutchinson may also have been upgraded but this isn’t confirmed - if it is we will have 4 main and 4 rookie list spots open

* Matthew Clarke has stated we have 5 main list spots

Matt Clarke wraps up the trade period - 6PR

Hearing Essendon are about to offer pick 5,9,22 for pick 1, which them accepting Merrett offer is conditional on.

I’d counter with 5,6,F1 for 1,13. See how much they want Duursma.
I’d seriously consider that. It’s 3 top 10 picks for pick one and what will probably be pick 17/18 on draft night.

Sharp(2),Cumming(5) and best available at pick 6 plus a top 10 pick in next years draft.

CDT kicked his 3 goals- basically from the goal square. Got a few cheap frees and 1 out the back.

Definitely not the solid game everyone has been frothing about. For a tall he has the mobility but not the chutzpah.
Two goals were from the goal square but he did have a solid outing. Remember he's a 17 year old kid playing against men.

So Swans traded Florrent to Blues for a F3rd rounder.

Less than what we got for Chesser.

We got a late 2nd for Chesser.
The lack of depth in this draft is making it hard to determine market value for trades. Picks from the second round seem to mainly hold currency for bid matching, so the value changes from club to club.

Florent seems unders but if it unlocks Curnow then it makes more sense.

5 9 and 22 doesnt sound that appealing tbh, especially with our limited list spots.

Has to be 5+6+ something surely.

Dont let us down Clarky

Totally separate deal to Curnow it was reported.

Looks like a salary cap dump or they need a list spot.

F3rd is basically 10 cents in the dollar as a trade.

I would hope that the Eagles hold onto 1. But happy to let 2 go.

I think Willem Durrsma is going to be a great player, and looks perfect for what we need.
Reminds me of Jordan Dawson.

I think it's all about the environment. The club's in a shambles right now, Harley's barely able to keep his head above water and he was touted the best prospect seen in decades, so I'm a little ehhh on how guys who aren't quite up to his level will fare in our environment.

Depends on the day for me tbh, one day I'm like, yeah, take the best kid available, next day I'm like get a number of players for the pick cos we need as many highly talented youngsters we can get to kickstart this thing.

We need the best available talent not more foot soldiers
