With both Barrass and HEdwards available?
He might rotate through but surely if Kennedy is out, Allen will be up forward?

Think we will trial next year backline with Harry to ruck as well as play backline, essentially play a lock down role on the oppposing 2nd ruck. So for this week

FB: Cole, Barass, Edwards
HB: Witherden, Oscar, Foley

Thinking about young WA talent to target during the off-season, I'd like to see us go after Jordan Clarke and Sam Petrevski-Seaton.

Couldn't agree more, Brander as a swap for one of them would make sense to me considering we keep trying to turn him into a mid since we have a glaring lack of young talent in that area

Cleanup surgery for Shuey more or less. It’s surgery to strengthen not fix. Happens all the time.

12 months worst case scenario. Mid season next year is best and most likEly still

Even so why would they risk him this week? They would delay the sugery by 2 weeks weeks because of the need to quarrtine on the way back for 2 weeks.

Is it really crazy? If the captain decides to go in for season-ending surgery when he technically doesn't need to prior to a 2 week quarantine it's sending a pretty shitty message to the younger players.

And, he's just come back from major soft-tissue surgery (and played on the weekend, returning from injury).

Surely if they felt the need to do exploratory soft tissue surgery (whatever that is - and TBH if it is just exploratory how do they have any idea it will be 6-months... a hamstring tendon replacement/repair was 12 weeks) - they would have done so rather than making him come back for 2 games, and quarantine for 2 weeks (i.e. adding a month to it).

Exactly and unless it was worth the risk to play in a GF i doubt that rumour is true.

That McGovern contract looks worse and worse if that hip issue is true.

Going to be very costly for the club.

The frustrating thing is this was so predictable. When an athlete has clearly demonstrated only token interest in maintaining elite personal fitness, he's likely to pay the price once he hits his late 20s.

He's going to be flat out just reaching the end of his current contract but if he does make it he'd better be ready for a severe haircut on his next one.
