Maybe it is, maybe it isn't. Players have changed clubs after a flag before.

While under contract? Moving to the opposite side of the country? Without any warning?

I feel really bad for even suggesting it but if kennedy retires how about bloody Mason Cox for two years… would be a good set up next to allen.

Did Darling suddenly retire in this scenario too?

I think we need someone who can come in and play as #1 ruck if NicNat’s not available. I don’t think that’s Cox.

The only positive I can think of for recruiting Cox would be that it guarantees he doesn't have his 1 good game a year against us.

You're missing the point, maybe they are lifers, maybe they're not? Have you asked them?

Circumstances change. If you want tangible change at West Coast, that line of thinking won't deliver it.

Time for list management to be creative and aggressive.

If they don't want to be fine, bu we have to accept the status quo.

Don’t get me wrong I appreciate you throwing ideas out there and we need something to discuss.

however both darling and McGovern are wa boys with wa wives and family, and in McGovern’s case a business he owns, coupled With being under contract for a fair while yet. Neither of them are interested in leaving.

I agree we as a club need to be creative and aggressive.
But trying to trade loyal local players interstate is neither.
