After Gary starts playing for GC and Nathan gets dropped, can we re-recruit Nathan so Gary comes back? Then drop Nathan and keep Gary?

This is genius!!!

I think we've got Chappy wrapped up for a few years (IIRC he held out for a while wanting more $$$s but got them in the end). Mackie has a long term deal. Not sure about Taylor but we've got the benefit of bringing him into the AFL at a later age so he would feel some sort of obligation. Hawkins tick, Selwood tick, what about Varcoe? If I was GC or WS I would be going after him.

Just goes to show how good Cookie is with his signing of players got Gary tied away for five years when young on coin that worked out well for both parties Gary early on and the club in the last few years.

And now we have Chappy tied up so that he plays the rest of his career in the hoops.

We just need Cookie to get him to sign himself up to a new contract an all will be sweet

Finally got around to watching the Travis Varcoe episode of Marngrook Footy Show from May. Chris Johnson mentioned that Varcoe is out of contract at the end of this season, which made me nervous. :(

Trav said he's happy at Geelong, but hadn't really discussed a contract at that stage; does anyone know if Varcoe has signed a new deal since this show aired in late May?
 
All this year's draftees including Drum are contracted til the end of 2011.

The second year rookies will be out of contract at the end of the year, obviously.

West would also be, along with Gamble, Djerrkura and Hogan one would assume.

Laidler also?

And maybe the 08 draftees as well, Motlop, Brown, Gillies etc.

Obviously the older players (i.e. 30 +) will all be out of contract as they're on year to year contracts.

In terms of the other senior players, you'd think most would be locked up.

Kelly's the one I'm thinking of as I haven't heard on him, hopefully he is.

And what about Stokes? Did he sign for 1 or 2 years at the end of last year?

We need to sign Varcoe soon as as he will attract a lot of interest.
