We've tried with Langford but he's never shown any sort of quick reactions and intensity to be a midfielder. He can take an overhead mark and kick. Turn him into a medium sized forward and cut our losses.
Zaharakis was so poor again in the basics and the non negotiables that you cannot play him next week if you are serious.
Tippa is lost. Not sure why but absolutely lost. Have to blame the coach and game plan on this.
Our backline has no idea how to move the ball out other than playing Matty Knights kamikaze with Mckenna and Saad.
Intensity takes forever to lift to a point we are competitive.
You cannot dish this up 2 years in a row and people keep their jobs.

performances like this don't start with the players. Something is terribly wrong culture wise.
We are playing shit but clearly belly and Fantasia are underdone, it’s like last year when they played joe injured for 6weeks then finally admitted there was a problem, bags brown Myers are not the future, get the young lads in the side, don’t waste another year

I have been a Langford fan since his U18 days. Today, the kid was a space cadet.
Where is the coaching. Where is the captain straightening him out.
Has the tools. If he could just flick a switch to concentrate in games.

Need more c#$t in our players. Shiel, Smith, Bellchambers, Saad, Stringer and maybe Ambrose and Irish have it. The rest are fairies and not physical enough. Opposition players have bruise free nights against us too often.
We can’t score and worse than that we are soft. Hurley only sprays himself. He needs to hold his defenders accountable while Hooker’s out.
Francis is wasted on us, will be back to SA in no time surely.
Dees will swarm us trying to play uncontested zone next week and we’ll lose by 70 points.

We only have ourselves to blame. If we all cheered a little louder, waved our scarves we would've turned the place into a "fortress" and given these highly paid professional athletes enough energy to win.

Saints deserved to win that by 5 plus goals. The absolute worst thing now is we’ll get predictable flog response of “We were only a couple of kicks away from winning!” ... no, just no.
A dire, dire football club at the moment in every department.
Said it in another post... this playing group and club in general is WAY too complacent. Enjoyed the taste of their own bath water during the off-season and now we are all going to pay big time at least for the next few weeks. And many of us fell for it! Don’t start the “Oh I knew we’d be crap this year!” now... 99.9% of our supporter group expected great things. Perhaps some trepidation but the last two performances were not on our agenda!
We clearly aren’t going to go 0-22 this year and we will have that circuit breaker game where one club takes it easy against us, has a shocker or has several injuries and we take advantage and win (think the Geelong game last year) ... but as usual it’s all going to be too late and we’ll finish in a piss poor ladder position again.
Hopefully the players still have a great week uploading their football/privileged lifestyles on Instagram though. That’s the most important thing. Our supporter group hurts more than this playing group - absolutely no question.

The team were so crowded around the ball, hand balling a metre to flat footed players. Bad structure. Coaching of this team is very poor. Everyone tells you first few games don’t matter but these games tell you all about structure and building pre season. Pies, cats of the games I’ve seen and Richmond in their premiership year, all showed structure early. In 2018 and 2019 our coaching skill is clearly apparent.
Time to bite the bullet on coach leadership change before our spine (particularly Hurley and hooker) are finished. Giving up early draft round this year will be prove very costly as we have some aging key players.
