Great news that Cook is staying! He's the best CEO in the business. Costa has done what he needed to do and Cook has committed to the Cats. Hopefully commitment like this sees more 'supporters' get behind the team and become members :thumbsu: GO CATS!

Seriously why would he leave for the GC team....onya Cookie

Great for the club but I think it would have been a close call. Building a team from the ground up is a pretty exciting opportunity.

Uprooting you entire family which includes school age kids was also probably a factor.

What ever his reasons, I'm glad to have him.

I think the main challenge now is making the membership have value. If the ground is ever going to hold 35k but we want to have 40k+ members what can we offer them. I'm a Melbourne member, but I wish there was better value in that. I would love reserved seating for all Melbourne games (willing to pay extra of course). I know this is linked to the grounds, but with Bulldogs, Roos and Cats wanting better deals from TD maybe a united front could make ground deals better for the clubs.

Of course they could just stop playing home games in Melbourne and force the AFL to schedule blockbusters at the Cattery. With a ground of 35k same as AAMI the AFL we could have a legitimate argument to play ALL teams at our true home.
