Prediction Copeland Trophy 2018

Brodie did seem to have quite a bit to say about Broomy.
Was this his way of giving a subtle hint to the club*
I know they are great friends but he did seem to have quite a bit more to say than just thanks, which by the way is all he said regarding his girlfriend.
Was funny talked about his relationship with Broomy for half an hour and then just said thanks to his girlfriend.
Reading way too much into a speech.

Having recovered from a not dissimilar injury to Broomy I can understand Brodie's respect for him and the hard yards involved - Brodie has almost certainly been a part time carer for him as well. It's probably brought them even closer.

Which is not a bad thing 76.

It means that Ed is more of a public face - which sometimes doesn’t work either.

I don’t even know what he looks like.

A bit like Charlie Brown out of Peanuts

A very mellow outing at The Palladium last night. Eddie did not give a rousing speech, which was rare.

Bucks spoke about dreams and opportunities not being given to us, meaning they’re there to be earned. Nathan elaborated about how much love was shown around the whole club, such as the players rallying behind Travis Varcoe, which epitomised how much care there was amongst the group.

Scott Pendlebury briefly spoke about the message he mentioned after the Grand Final about how proud he was, and told the whole group to stick together.

My Top 5 prediction was Sidebottom (1st), Grundy (2nd), De Goey (3rd), Adams (4th) & Crisp (5th). Grundy & Sidebottom (1st) created a tie of the Copeland Trophy for the second time in the club’s history, Pendlebury (3rd) was the only player I did not predict to make the Top 5, while Crisp (4th) nudged ahead of Adams (5th). De Goey finished 8th.

Brodie Grundy spoke about the prick in his game to be great, and that was he wanted to become a premiership ruckman for the Magpies. He like everybody else at the club will have to find out this time next year.

I got to speak to Alex Fasolo by asking about his exit meeting. He told me “It went okay”. Alex told me I’ll know when he knows by the end of next week. Amongst other topics discussed was the Grand Final loss (Fasolo supported West Coast before Collingwood drafted him in 2010), which did not go very far at all. Both of us were sombre about it. I then got to tell him about my upcoming game of T20 cricket for Burnley on turf. Alex acknowledged how much it meant to me. I parted ways with him in the tone of Han Solo. The line was “Hey Alex, may the Force be with you”.

On the off-chance Alex does depart, I have a successor by the name of Jaidyn Stephenson who has made an indelible mark on his career to date. Watch this space and bring on 2019 for the pursuit of Premiership #16.
Sorry, I completely missed this part. What do you think he meant by you'll know when he knows?

Agreed was momentum changer, hopefully the coaching staff will reflect on that and other incidents like Tay's brain fade.

Sadly though we couldn't impose ourselves consistently in the midfield after quarter time and spent a lot of time playing West Coast's game.

Time enough and past it to find a counter to the short and accurate chip passing sides use to get around us - it should only take a tweak in player positioning and a slight refocus on midgame matchups.

Time too for becoming more proactive instead of reactive in many areas.

Time for Eddie to get off his high horse on spending - fck the AFL impost, just pay what it takes to get top quality people in every area of the club and YES EDDIE that includes proper ruck and goal kicking staff.

The price of sustained success these days is total professionalism and in the area of support and coaching staff we are NOT.

The FD tax rate goes to 100% in 2019 as far as I'm aware. Can't see the club opting to go there unless there is a very specific directive from the membership.
