I love DC, one of my favourite players and massive congrats to him.

Do feel for Nick however, he cops an unbelievable amount of stick for no real reason and can’t help but think the club/fly have contributed a little bit to that tonight. He was pretty clearly our best player this season
I agree.

Nick was our best this year and should have won. Can only assume that the club think something is lacking in his game.

I hope like hell that is discovered next year.

Have to feel sorry for Nick.

AFL MVP
Rates elite in almost every category
Cops a tag nearly every week
Runner up in the Brownlow
Another AA

Loses the Collingwood best and fairest.

Just unbelievable. Hope it doesn’t impact him long term because we can’t afford to piss off our best player.

Embarrassing that Nick didn't win the B&F this year.

Don't tell me Crisp's 21-22 were better than Nick's 24-25. Yet Crisp is a B2B Copeland winner.

Maybe Nick will get the respect he deserves when he plays for Tasmania.

Maybe just me, but I don't actually think Nick had that great of a year as he did in 2024..
His impact wasn't as good as it could have been.

Darcy is a very deserving winner. 2nd last year, was only a matter of time before he won it. He would have lost more games without him.
Nick will win plenty more. It just wasn't this year. He doesn't have to win it every year.
He was heavily tagged and not handling it for a good chunk early in the season.
Big footy wasn’t even giving him Didaka votes in several games.
He finished the year much better but was less consistent than Darcy Cameron.

The drop off of Josh has been an issue too. Later in the season he was being tagged a bit. But not even a top 5 for him.

Losss the Collingwood beat and fairest.

Just unbelievable. Hope it doesn’t impact him long term because we can’t afford to piss off our best player.
You think Nick plays for individual awards?....🤣🤣

Can't believe some our knocking Darcy Cameron for winning....lol
Congratulations to him, and a deserving winner. He had a terrific season. Definitely was a surprise in part, but considering he was runner up in 2024, shouldn't be a surprise he won it this year, as he had a better season. So a worthy winner.
I'm sure Naicos would be nothing but happy and proud of Darcy. He's a much loved teammate and l think every player would have been wrapped for him...
Naicos is going to win alot more Copelands in his career.
Fantastic to see Q get a podium finish too. Had a great, consistent year, and would love to see him win a Copeland by the time his career is done...

Pendles is great but he seems to be rated incredibly by the coaches even when sometimes you might think that other players have done better. Just shows you what dire straits we are in with the oldies dominating the count. Disappointing years from some of the hgher profile fixture players like Maynard, Jordy, Moore, Checkers, McStay, Frampton, etc.
I thought Frampton had a very good year. He missed a lot of games through injury this season, as did JDG. So, I think you’re a bit harsh on them.

Got told by a mate that was at the event last night that Bobby was absolute disgusting (guessing blind drunk ) and if we can get a first rounder for him he’s gone

Who knows what’s really going on

The shock for me is how many Pie fans on here are so disappointed Cameron won the Copeland over Nick.

This is an odd comment.

If not winning the Copeland impacts Nick, he should never be captain of this club.

Best and fairest to clubs is more most valuable in 2025 and to the way we play its splitting hairs who’s more important between Cameron and Nick. The reliance on Cameron is about how we play which needs tweaking, IMO. Our KPF’s were undersized for the majority of the year and we kick long down the line too often. Which feeds into the need for Cameron to be clunking them.

The only interest I ever have in these nights is Fly’s address and a few things stood out:

1. Put the jokes away Fly. The Naicos one hit the mark, but the pregnancy one was a huge airball

2. The high performance and love comment I couldn’t get a good read on, but I suspect will be a theme going into next year.

3. The unknown with Checkers looks awful now if he’s leaving. He’s been Herculean for us and deserved a significant send off. Maybe it’s a sign he’s staying 🤷‍♂️

FWIW I didn’t think Nick was at his best for the majority of 2025 due to whatever injuries he carried for the bulk of the year.

You're misreading the room.

If Nick can't even win the club's best and fairest, then we have no right to complain that he can't win the competition best and fairest.

Have have a dig at the brownlow voting for not voting him the best player in the league, but then you havnt even voted him as the best player in the team.

Given the media and other supporters a free pass to hang more shit on him.

The football media are very selective at who they snipe at. The different treatment of Fly and Mitchell is hilarious. Even Hardwick escapes scrutiny.

Rowell won his bnf by 1 vote lol Hardly a glowing endorsement.

No need to make it easy for the media by putting a huge bullseye on ourselves.

This is a massive own goal, and no amount of protestation will change that.

No, I don’t. Just feel a bit disappointed for him. Congratulations to Cameron though, he had a great year.

The voting system is different though at clubs v the Brownlow. There would be discrepancies between the two awards
