Tarkyn Lockyer would be the surprise player in the top 5 of voting currently. Has been given a job each week by the coach on the opposition superstars and not sure he has been beaten yet.

• 20 additional votes get spread around the best players per match, with 6 the maximum a player can get.

Hard to say who’d be in front right now. Johnson early, Swan from Shaw for a while there. Fraser would be clocking up votes since the WCE game. Clement a steady accumulator. Rocca and Buckley some cameos that would have drawn votes. Didak would be up there. O’Bree would be right toward the top.

If I had to pick maybe Rocca from Shaw. Rocca is a big impact player. He kicks goals other wouldn’t get because he takes marks others wouldn’t take and draws players from team mates – he wins games. If he’s kicked 34 as Ferga18 said, double that means 68 which is a good return. Shaw has been outstanding. He’s fast becoming my favourite player after not thinking he’d make it. It’s great to have a Shaw firing. Our club staked a fair bit on the F/S picks. On balance they’d be pretty happy now given they were 2nd & 3rd round selections.

From here on in pencil Scott Burns in for some votes. He’s just hit peak fitness and match hardening and he is now playing a prominent role. Very very happy with game against Brisbane.
