to download them, use mIRC (its a lot quicker)

then once you have it it will usually be in a .bin format. so just open up your burning software (Nero is the best and most popular) and then burn it as a cd image and then your done! :)

I'll find a link soon.

also u can use Daemon tools which emulates a cd drive by using .bin and .cue files

it makes the computer think the actual cd is in the cd drive but the cd drive doesnt actually exsist

search for it on google or Download.com if u want

thanks for all that, i looked up call of duty on a direct connect hub and found the following files for cd1:

.bin 696.25mb
.cue 771B
.ccd 80B
.img 696.25mb

there was also an .iso file??

so what do you do from here, which files do you dl and burn onto a disc??

.bin 696.25mb - can use nero
.cue 771B - maybe part of the bin file, or maybe part of the clonecd image, hard to say without opening it in notepad.

.cue 771B
.ccd 80B
.img 696.25mb

these 3 need clonecd; but not sure which part that cue file belongs to.

You'll only need to download the .bin and .cue files.

Then in Nero, find something like 'Burn from CD Image' and choose the .cue file

You dont need the .cue file to burn. You can just do it with the .bin file.

thanks for all those responses but it's still a bit confusing, some ppl say one thing, others something else.

at the moment i'm dl a pc game with .bin and .cue files plus the cd key.

i also heard other ppl talking about needing a cd crack??

i use roxio's easy cd creator.

Cool. What game are you D/Ling?

That is correct. Eventhough you will be able to burn the game to CD and then install it without any problems, You will need a No-CD crack to run the game. The games today have to have the CD in the drive and it wont recognise a burned CD as the proper disc.
SO, you will have to find a No-CD crack for your game so you can play it.

That unlucky! ;) j/k
Nah, I've never used that program. I've always used Nero.

yeah people have different ideas, cos they use different programs.

If you are using Nero you need the .cue file as the .bin file will be "too" big for the CD, although this is usually just bull**** and selecting the .cue file will somehow magically make it fit.

If you are downloading a Deviance (sp?) game you dont need to get the no-cd crack as it will already be in the .rar or .tar file

thanks for all that, i'm trying out rise of nations.

when you say burn the .bin and .cue files to a disc, does this just mean making a normal data cd?? or is it more complicated

i've looked in my easy cd maker and the only options it has is;

*making a data cd
*copying a cd

dont know about that system but in Nero there is an option to back up an image to CD. something like that, search the help file for image and it should tell you.
