YES!!!!!!!!!!

Great players dont always translate to great coaches but with Boris being so in tune with the game, the relationships he currently has and clearly the ability to be one of the guys, I find it difficult to believe he wont be an asset to the club and the playing group.

And he can stand the fence and hurl expletives at someone else now...

Doesn't mention his role
Recently retired Geelong champion Corey Enright will take on a new role with the club in 2017 after agreeing to join the Cats as a development and transition coach.

Enright, who has worked closely with the club’s younger players over the past few years, is excited to take on a new role in the football industry.

“It looks like this was a short lived farewell,” Enright joked after agreeing to his new position.

“The club always showed great faith in me and they have again in giving me an opportunity to take on a new career path. I have great respect for the coaches at the club and look forward to learning more in this role. It is an exciting time with so many players coming through the system, and to work with the players to help them improve will be a challenge I am looking forward to.

Geelong senior coach Chris Scott is glad that Enright has chosen to begin his coaching career with the Cats.
“Boris has a great football brain and our coaches and players will benefit from his expertise and input in the coming years,” Scott said.

“He has shown over a long period a great ability to connect with players and to understand and teach the game. I think we are all excited that he will be with the club in this new role.”

Enright retired after playing a club record 332 games in a decorated career in the navy and white hoops. He was a key member of three premiership teams, twice won the best & fairest and earned six All Australian selections.

Enright is the 13th former Geelong player from the past decade to embark on a coaching career in the AFL system.

Boris can do whatever he wants really....

I know it sounds a bit job for the boys style but he clearly is good enough, learned enough and close enough to the game to be a valuable assistant coach to the defenders and possible the forwards.

332 games of " this really pissed me off and made it hard on me when they did this" to the forwards at the club not named Hawkins.

Let me tell you the tale of two club greats. One we will call Doris, when Doris came to the end of his playing days the club said to him "Mate we understand what you could do for the side and the players and we would love for you to impart that knowledge to our next generation because we value you."

Now the other club great we shall call him Cam, Cam's coach came to him one day and said "GTFO Cam and I don't mean the club I mean get out of Eastern Australia if I see you on this side of the Nullabor Plain I'll treat you like a wall at the MCG"

Now which club has a true culture and which one has a thin veneer of culture?

This is good. But we really need a forward coach more than anything. Happy with Scarlo continuing the good work down back. Stevie J's genius input would be handy right about now. And maybe Chappy on the sidelines just to crack the wips and put some slackers in headlocks. Still, Boris' input should be valuable as his gamestyle was about reading the play and making the right decision.

Agree Daz, but I get weary when retired players get a job so soon after playing, especially at the same club.

This reads like some sort of pension-fund thankyou to Corey for playing unders for so many years. As well as a way to keep in-house secrets just that.

No problem with it per se, but would hate to think we've not looked at other options for the same position.

Great to have Boris remain in the camp. By the same token it'll be intriguing to see how he takes to it.

As part of the story in the Hun it was suggested Jimmeh might be headed for the Blues.

COREY Enright’s legacy will live on at Geelong after joining the club’s coaching panel in a seamless transition to life in retirement.

While fellow retired club great Jimmy Bartel has been sounded out for a skills and development role with Carlton.
