We have not learned many lessons. It is quite sobering really. The world has changed, is still changing, people don’t want to accept that, eventually we will have to.

People can't even accept giving up dinosaur juice to move their vehicles around. Humanity just kinda sucks at some things.

Never heard of bloody monkey pox before 🤔
You just know it's the sort of title that will pull the chain of the usual suspects.

This story puts a little perspective on it before the nutters take hold:

Oh boy, wait till that Joe Rogan fella finds out about this. The emergency departments will be filled from kids shoving those horse... de-ulcerer tablets up their arse

It's a simple H2 blocker which is primarily used to reduce stomach acid and decrease the effects of histamine in the gut. Used extensively by humans, available by prescription from a GP and costs roughly $10 for a month's supply if you take 20mg twice daily.

Medications that are stronger in terms of their ability to reduce stomach acid are PPIs like nexium and somac of which I'm sure most people are familiar with such is the frequency with which they are prescribed for reflux particularly in the elderly.

The government provided infrastructure to do that is severely lacking to be practical.

What people can't accept, is also, just having smaller more practical vehicles that use less dinosaur juice.

If you live in a city, there's plenty of infrastructure.

I will quote the WHO:

Ergo, not aerosol.

Speaking of monkeypox - I wonder if this might be another grift for money? Let's see - was there a monkeypox vaccine developed recently?

Guess it's Sanofi Pasteur's turn to make some money. I mean, they tried to get something going with Japanese Encephalitis and it didn't stick (remember that bullshit?) - there was a vaccine for that...

So now they are pulling out the monkeypox card:

What is actually your point??

For a while now we have been losing 40-50 people per day nationwide - and once or twice up to 60 per day.
I do not know how long that can go on without comment from national/state leaders.
We know that the mid-late 80s and onwards are currently being hammered with regard to deaths.
Where are they dying? Nursing homes?
Perhaps we are heading to an excess of aged care workers, with the hollowing out that is happening.

One of Australia’s top doctors has issued an urgent sex warning after killer virus monkeypox was found on our shores.
A Victorian man is in hospital after being diagnosed with monkeypox, while another in NSW is also suspected of being infected with the virus.

The Victorian case is linked to one of nine cases that have emerged in the UK, with some of them connected to the country’s gay and bisexual community.

NSW chief health officer Dr Kerry Chant urged gay men to be particularly vigilant.

“We know it’s transmitted by that close skin to skin contact - you can be infectious and that close droplet contact in a very sort of close prolonged way,” Dr Chant said.

“We’re particularly urging men who are gay or bisexual, or men who have sex with men, to be aware of any unusual rashes or lesions and to contact by phone a sexual health clinic or GP without delay if they have any concerns.

Weird that it has appeared in several countries almost simultaneously

There's nothing anyone can do about it if they have young kids.

Every week there's a covid alert at pre-school. Every week. Open spaces, outdoors, vaccinated teachers and parents.

There's nothing that can be done about it without negatively impacting the development of infants.

My teenage kids caught it the week before last. My son missed out on his school camp despite having a ssore throat for 3 days but feeling fine by the Monday they were meant to go. He had a whole week last week of playing video games because there was no school work (because the entire year level was either on camp or doing out of school activities). Its ******* bullshit.

Doesn't sound like bullshit to me. A whole week of playing video games (and other teenage boy activites) sounds like heaven, to both teenage and current day edgie.

But my toddler, she needs the pre-school, the socialising, the time away from family, to develop. She's already got her issues, she needs all the chances she can get to catch up development wise.
