This coming from Boris, the Prime Minister of the Uk based in London which is in the top ten most surveilled cities in the world. Not only do they have 399 CCTV cameras per square kilometre but they operate drones equipped with night vision thermal imaging (infrared) quietly and largely invisibly surveilling the streets and the rooftops in every borough. And if not caught on cctv or by drone, our smart phones are tracking us and our smart watch knows when we're exercising or panicked running for our lives. Our cars are also on the job.

There will be opposition to a cashless society even if there appears to be a generation that tends to think cash is dirty and don't mind the idea, tbh I think that's naive. If there is a real push towards cashless, I'll join the resistance.
