EU Regulators Call on Pfizer, Moderna, AstraZeneca for More Data on Heart Inflammation, Guillain–Barré Syndrome

The European Medicines Agency also wants Pfizer and Johnson & Johnson to update warnings and lists of side effects relating to face swelling (Pfizer) and blood clots (J&J).

EU regulators Friday called on Pfizer and Moderna to provide additional data related to the companies’ COVID vaccines and a potential link to heart inflammation, after the agency completed a safety review of all four COVID vaccines authorized for emergency use in the EU.

In a report issued May 7, PRAC disclosed its members were aware of cases of myocarditis and pericarditis following Pfizer vaccination. Regulators said they didn’t see an indication the vaccine caused these cases, but as a prevention, PRAC requested Pfizer provide further data, including an analysis of events according to age and gender in its next pandemic summary safety report and will consider if any other regulatory action is needed.

Myocarditis, or inflammation of the heart muscle, can lead to cardiac arrhythmia and death. Pericarditis is inflammation of the membrane around the heart.

A search in the CDC’s Vaccine Adverse Events Reporting System (VAERS) revealed 213 cases of pericarditis and myocarditis reported in the U.S following COVID vaccination. Of the 213 cases reported, 105 cases were attributed to Pfizer, 93 cases to Moderna and 15 cases to Johnson & Johnson’s (J&J) COVID vaccine.....................

I have noticed there does seem to be a preoccupation with India in Australian media. Maybe because of Aussies stuck there? Probably more to do with generating fear though. Otherwise they'd be talking about places like Britain or Israel.
Absolutely it's about generating fear. Texas made the news here when the governor removed all Covid restrictions; crickets now that the predicted Armageddon didn't eventuate.

Even the UK is fading into the background as the country is opening up and nothing much is happening. Lots of Aus citizens there too.

But but but what about that deadly highly toxic contagious super mutant UK strain the government and media here in Australia was trying to frighten everyone with.

Nevermind they have moved onto the Indian strain now and when that dies down they will just move onto the next country that is leading the infection rate.

WHO at an international level, as the organisation the rest of the world was supposed to take their cues from also screwed the messaging up initially. In Australia, had the Federal Government taken control of quarantine offshore and issued a standardised response all the states had to follow our lives could have simply gone on with barely a hiccup.

WHO again though, imo is responsible for all the alarming stuff coming out of India.

The UK is at about 70% the population vaccinnated now Dogs, I think that has something to do with it.

I heard that it's pretty much an open secret in the police that he was set upon by someone. Whether that's Lindsay Fox's thugs, unions or Jake King I don't know. I'm not sure why it would be kept secret. I'm not saying I believe this rumour, but it's what i've heard. I will say I feel much better with him not at the wheel and am quite dreading his return to work, if he does in fact return.
Same rumors swirling around about the car accident. Fireys allegedly did him a great service and they made sure they got everything they wanted with the CFA merger. The truth is that Dan Andrews could hold a press conference drinking a Jim Beam and smoking a joint, and he would still romp in the next election. The clowns who pretend to be an opposition are incompetent and stuck in the 1950's. The Liberals lost the seat of Hawthorn and barely hung onto Brighton. They need to throw out all of those clowns and start again. Andrews is more worried about the Greens than he is about the LNP.

26% of the country has been vaccinated fully and cases have fallen 90% is logical maths

In reality you turn down the PCR cycle, stop reporting the asymptomatic horseshit "cases" and your magical vaccine appears to be working when in actuality it really isnt. A fair few vaccinated NBA players can testify to that

You tone policed me, so yes? You wrote the rule book, not me. Im just asking you to read your own rules and live by them

That isn't what actually happened but some of this conversation is going to be removed as a write off and I would urge posters generally to be a little more accommodating of differing opinions without resort to personal insult.

This thread is becoming an echo chamber.

But they were under super strict lockdown for months.

So do the lockdowns do nothing and the vaccines are super effective? Or do the lockdowns eliminate the virus and the vaccines do nothing?

I don't think they know whether the vaccines are going to be effective or not, they're just hoping that they will be because they can't stay locked down forever.

You just said they are vaccinated is the reason they are opening up though. If we can admit UK is opening up on a guess that the vaccine will work, whats the chance of us doing it when in Australia we wont open up if 1 person with no symptoms got the virus and went to BBQs Galore?

Hahahaha LOL, like i said yesterday only a complete moron would actually get tested and isolate.

Everybody on that train, no matter what carriage and where they boarded and alighted, needs to get tested, and stay isolated until they return a negative test.

The over the top drama this country spews out for 1 case is cringeworthy on a world scale, the most in fear country in the world and is why Australia will be one of the last countries to rejoin the world.

Their infection and death rates are continuing to fall so the thinking is probably that lockdowns work together with big numbers being vaccinated, it's time to ease restrictions. They will keep their fingers crossed, hope it works.

Out of curiosity how does this fall in line with Australia though? We are not allowed to have 1 case in the community remember without restrictions. Can you explain how anything in UK or anywhere else can align us with the goals we have set?

If we want to bring up other countries to discuss our situation, we need to align them side by side. ATM UK in the AU mindset is a spectacular failure as of 12th of May. 2000+ cases is not something thats ever gonna happen here so they are failing drastically according to our standards

What are our goals? I have no idea, far as I'm aware we're still winging it and taking what lessons we can from the rest of the world even if we're basically nothing like the rest of the world.

We blew it early in, first when passengers on the Ruby Princess were allowed to disembark with covid and then when Victoria who was too slow to do anything at all regards risk and totally panicked the rest of the states into a terror when the covid positive numbers started to roll out. The states prems rode the wave seizing the opportunity to politicize the situation at every opportunity and play tough. McGowan totally annhiallated the state Libs almost into extinction on it in the last state election.

This is big part is what we're up against trying to see the situation clearly. IMO. When politicians start playing games.

Maybe he shit on someone and they are now an asymptomatic super spreader, this will prove that all the testing that goes on at sewerage plants has not been a waste of time, time to bring in mandatory anal swab testing centres.

They vary state by state. Western Australias goal is zero community transmission. Its been that way since day one. UK in our eyes is a catastrophic failure based on this. They have community spread still in the thousands, compared to our set goal of 0. In that sense, how can we view UK as a success based on what we wish to achieve? They are not. They are still a abysmal failure by our own standards

WA won't shift from that then given McGowan's success at the last election. The people in WA have had their say and the states premiers across Australia taking notes on it green with envy.

Did we always know though, that the UK was going to be hit hard with it? There seemed to be a lot of talk and forecasting on how bad it was going to get over there early in.
